So I haven't played a pokemon game since FireRed. I'm getting a 3ds today so which game should I pick up?
X or Y if you already played Ruby or Sapphire, unless you really liked R&S.

Grab the originals off of the Eshop and grind on those until Sun and Moon. Trust me, you'll be glad that you did instead of waste time with the latest 2 entries.

At the recommendation of someone here I blasted through Gen I through IV of Pokemon games then started Black. This all lasted 3 weeks before I realized how fucking lame it is for a grown man to be playing Pokemon and that the games are easy and formulaic as fuck. Doesn't really help that /vp/ is a collection of complete faggots and degenerates.
Getting the new3ds xl for xenoblade chronicle.
How does piracy/playing without paying work with this generation? I'm used to original DS, so getting the acekard (or R4, etc...), dowloading some ROMs and plaig right away.
I heard it was more difficult for the n3ds.

meh option: buy XY, skip ORAS (they are both bad but XY will introduce the 6th gen, ORAS is a horrible remake of third gen. Almost anyone disliked it)
