All the point-and-click adventure games I've played feel completely nonsensical and retardedly structured and designed. The logic is incoherent. The puzzles go out of their way to be as obtuse and awkward as possible. There ALWAYS seems to be at least three solutions for any given puzzle, but they're always super linear. It feels like a game of "Guess what complex solution I've thought up" instead of "How should your character solve this situation?"
I think the most important part of any given online multiplayer game is its social aspect.
I think the only people who think that open world RPGs such as Fallout to be noteworthy at all are inept losers who have never touched a TTRPG.

I think the lack of freedom in vidya RPGs make the experience really lackluster. Combined with how spread out the game's development will be compared to a linear game-- the art will be meh, the animation will be meh, the combat will always be hot garbage (even in good games like deus ex!), there will be no polish at all, etc, etc.
The exceptions are highly hybridized games like Dark Messiah.
