I'm really bad about starting a new game up when I get it, playing an hour or two and then dropping it for months/years before finally playing it for real.
I've been getting over my habit of playing games with the sound off apart from a few games like FE and Monster Hunter.

>Non combat exploration segment
>I jump around like an idiot, even onto NPCs heads if I can, try to push every button, go everywhere else but where the game is pointing me to go, trying to "break it" or just amuse myself as the FP village idiot

I regularly go immediately in the opposite direction of where I should. And I do frequently jump around where I'm not supposed to go, intentionally trying to jump on NPCs' heads to see if I can stand on them. I don't generally play first-person games, though.
