Skate 1 - 3 were the best games EA made in recent years. It's a shame the chance of Skate 4 are slim to none even before THPS 5 poisoned the well for future skateboarding games for everyone.

I don't think Activision wanted to take down the whole genre because it's practically dead but it seemed like they wanted to kill whatever value the Tony Hawk name had before their 20 year contract ran out.

The game is cursed. Like 10 of the development team died while working on the series.
