The game is actually much harder if you don't. Even if you're very good at dodging you're still gonna get hit occasionally, especially with less stamina, and being one hit killed sucks.
I tried it on my sorcerer and actually got raped a few times by Sage and the Deacons.

How can you not put points into VIG in this game? Is it just me, or do attacks do INSANE amount of damage in this game? Especially bosses. If I take even one hit it's pretty much a guaranteed Estus sip.

I hate how they changed the VIT scaling. In the other games, it soft capped at around 40, and you got 1.5 points of carrying weight per point of VIT up until the soft cap, 0.5 after.
In this game, there's no cap, and it's always 1 point of weight per 1 point of VIT. It means you have to put a lot more into it if you want to be able to wear decent armor.

How much protection does good armor actually give you in this game? I have heard it was negligible.
