what is your most trusted video game review site?
for me it is Gamespot, i trust their reviews more than any other site.
If at least a third of the threads I see on /v/ about the game are praising it, I'll probably like it
I don't read reviews. I'm not a mindless drone who needs to be told how good or bad something is.
No sites for new releases, I've played enough to know what I'll dig and what not. For old games /v/ usually has some good ones getting mentioned time and time again, God Hand is one.

Wait, so do you just buy games and hope that they're good then? That doesn't seem fiscally responsible to me, bro.

I don't read reviews. If a game's a sequel, I have a pretty good idea of what to expect from it.
If it's something I've never played before, I judge by gameplay and trailers. If necessary, pirate demo.

How are the parent companies that own places like IGN and Gamespot not corporations?

your right dude, i went up the chain and it turns out that cnet owns gamespot and cbs corporation owns cnet.

i'm not that anon, but similar.
I do read (well watch on youtube) reviews but they don't sway my mind, I make up my own mind if I am going to buy a game before I even watch a review. based on gameplay trailers, what I feel i would want to play or if I liked the prequels.
