Memes, fanboys and false flaggers aside, can we talk about this company here for a second.
Why does /v/ hate them so much? I get that the cinematic game might not be everyone's cup of tea, but they've always packed their games with a ton of technology moments, and very high levels of detail. I feel like a lot of the hate for them is just because of their fans and the fan journalists, but that's not a very good reason to hate a developer.
So what gives? Why are they so hated?

Because their games have really shitty, boring, shallow gameplay, yet everyone who can barely play games (see: reviewers, casuals) praises them and gives them 10/10 ratings for very mediocre games.

I can guess for one reason that they've become super pretentious, claiming that they're "too mature" for games like Crash Bandicoot. Not that I want them to make a Crash game if there ever is one.
Also, they cut donut Drake because of their "maturity" when they've actually succumb to SJW influence like a bunch of cowards.
They seem like they don't want to focus on fun anymore and want to focus on cinematic moments and deep stories instead.
Personally, I prefer fun over muh deep storytelling™ so that's why I don't like them.

I won't deny that the actual gameplay is very barebones, but then so is the gameplay in any VN, which /v/ mostly likes, any adventure game, which /v/ mostly likes, and several other genres too.
Most people give games a free pass for barebones gameplay if they have other aspects like a decent plot, good characters, good technology, etc. But not ND. All of that stuff doesn't matter because the gameplay is "ehh".

I don't hate them, I just don't care about them. But it gets really grating to hear how Uncharted 4 or The Last Of Us is the best thing ever, when it looks like generic triple that almost plays itself.

That's mostly just the director Neil Druckman who's that way. He's gained a lot more power in the company for sure, but he's still not representative of the whole company.
Hating a company for their politics is dumb in my opinion, but I understand why /v/ would hate them for that, considering that politics is a huge part of /v/ now for some reason.

Honestly, I think the reason I gave you is probably the truth for most people. You may think it's stupid, but that won't change it.
I'm sure there are popular things you dislike too. Movies? Tv-Shows? Music? Anything really. Just because something has been made competently, doesn't mean you have to like it.
Take Marvel Movies for example. I'm sure there's a lot of work and passion put into them, but they look completely unappealing to me. I'm just not interested in seeing America Man fight Dr. Hulk or whatever.
No one needs a "good" reason to dislike anything, especially in entertainment media.

I was given a PS3 for free a few years and decided to see what the hype was behind TLoU, it was an alright game but nothing mindblowing like the industry and gaming press would have me believe. ND if anything is too hyped up outside of /v/, outside of console shitposting at least discussion of ND on here is grounded in reality.

It's cool, I get that that's the main reason here (along with console warring), but it just baffles me that almost no one here recognizes some of the actual impressive things they've done.
Personally, I hate GTA and any other Rockstar game. I think they're incredibly boring and just like ND, overrated, but I have a lot of respect for them as developers because I can see that all of their games are very well made, and even if they don't appeal to me in any way, the appeal of their games to others is pretty obvious.
