It really was a great game but everyone and their mother was playing CoD or some other AAA shit in 2010, most people only acknowledge RDR because of muh GTA with cowboys or being GOTY

the gameplay is fucking shit, 5/10 mediocre cover shooter with the unique feature (deadam) being a cheat button. mission design was repetitive and boring.
story was also nothing special until the very last act which was good.

I really liked it, its the closest anyone has ever gotten to making a good open world.
It didnt feel completely empty.
They could have done more with it though.
