Got LumaCFW working then used it to play Robobot and haven't touched it since because I don't have an SD big enough to install the three games I actually need CFW to play that I want to, might look for that pkhex editior .cia and install that then fuck with that but I doubt it

yes you update after hacking your 3ds. if your using emunand then update your emunand through system settings, never ever touch your sysnand. if a9lh+luma then update normally.
you can get cia from 3dsiso. http://www.3dsiso.com/cia-downloads/272976-mega-jsnowden-usa-rf-ad-free-updated-5-15-16-a.html has tons of stuff, but you'll need an account to view and download shit. put the cia files on the root of your sd and use your preferred cia installer to install them. you can also use QR codes to manually scan and install games without constantly putting your sd card into your computer. im unfamiliar with this method as i just use the link i gave and get my cia from that. check out /hbg/ for more info on the QR code method.
not sure on the e shop hanging though, again take that one to /hbg/ and see if you can get more help there.

you dont have that file anywhere on the root of your sd card i showed? it might but it'll take sometime even though you have most of it already done. its been a long while since i messed with emunand because im using a9lh+luma. im sure you can get your issue resolved but im not to sure how for you. try /hbg/ for now. though in the future i would recommend upgrading to a9lh. its all around better and you wont have to worry about any nagging issues like you currently have. if you do ever decide to upgrade then take a look at this guide https://github.com/Plailect/Guide/wiki . you can skip to part 4 since you already have a CFW.
