The multiplayer is the proper evolution of Among Thieves. Had Drake's Deception not fucked up after the summer beta, it would have had something great. Drake's Deception's multiplayer is dreadful. After two years of patches and fixes the game was still no where close to what they had made two summers before. A Thief's End multiplayer and single player are really good. Both 2 and 4's maps were mostly symetrical, and had lots of verticality, a lot of 3's maps just seemed like flat squares with crap just placed all around them. The quicker climbing and rope from 4 also make it the best to move around in.

The first UC is extremely consistent, if you are struggling move on to 2 and try that, it's the peak of the first 3. The gunplay is ass compared to many other 3rd person shooters. The only thing gameplay wise it has going for it is the movement system such as the grappling hook, but I'd still give movement based shooting to Max Payne.
The thing that makes Uncharted games passable, and what gives them the high reviews, is just the amount of polish that goes into the games. That I can commend as actually really amazing.

Like you could play a lot of matches or do the daily challenges and you'll still get random shit from the novelty pack, or you could spend UNCHARTED BUX™ to directly buy whatever character/taunt/accessory you want. They're technically unlockable, but you have no immediate control.
Personally I liked Uncharted 3's early model where you collected relic sets to unlock new swag, and certain relics would only drop from certain playlists. But then when the season pass expired they added a shitton of new items and taunts that you could only buy with real money on top of everything else and it just made things annoyingI paid $.99 for the Carlton taunt and sadly I don't regret it

The aim is to reach the treasure and win the level (theres 130 spread out over 4 worlds, with 2 more coming). But if you can do it under a certain number of moves you get a key. Keys unlock Sully's loot boxes which give you stuff for Uncharted 4 multiplayer.
