Warcraft should have been Warhammer the Game, but Blizzard didn't got the license because they were a no name dev at the time and citadel wanted to have a big name behind the first Pc-Game and this new "Real time strategy" genre was a risky thing.
But Blizzard was already nearly finished with the game.
