As someone who bought it, it was...okay. Didn't have shit on its predecessors (especially 2, which was glorious) but was still okay.
The new weapons were crap, although they kept the best of the old ones.
Three quarters of the attempts at humour were Pox saying "hey Crypto, look at [yet another thing which is really popular now]," & Crypto replying "it'll never catch on". The other quarter was casual racism that was too tryhard to be funny.
Worth playing if you really liked the series, just don't bother paying for it.

Now that you mentioned it, I think Path of the Furon didn't have proper shadows despite the first game already having it. In fact, I'd argue DAH 1 and 2 are some of the best looking PS2 games around with crazy ass physics for a game back then.
