I didn't even mind Awakening, but seeing Fates I'm starting to see where all the doomsayers were coming from.
I was actually pretty tempted to get Fates for a while, but I ended up homebrewing my 3DS to try it out.
I never even got past the point where you choose which side to go with. I was completely unenthusiastic about bothering to continue playing that I just closed my 3DS and never touched it again.
And speaking as someone who originally bought a 3DS to play Awakening, that's incredibly disappointing.
