what blizzard did to me is think about this game.
i saw the first trailers and thought i would be team-Battleborn but no.
i turned so fast to team Overwatch with the fun designs and short films and stories and all those picture s flooding the meme boards.
i haven't even played the game yet and i already know those characters and pay attention. i also have a bunch of pictures saved on the phone without realizing it there are tons now.
you gotta give that to blizzard after diablo 3 and starcraft 2. they are on to something here.

As someone who has had a distinct and indiscriminate hatred for shooters since day one, it's incredible how engaged I am in this game already. I played the open beta very briefly, and really only played D.Va, yet all the characters are so fresh and well-established in my mind. I think the character design in this game is going to be its #1 asset because without it I for one certainly would have dismissed it as yet another shooter; more of the same garbage, but it's so much more diverse.
