The devil is in the definition. They fucked up by making her hair look like weird, unnatural, folded plastic. The flowers have too much shit going on. Her nose is atrociously thin and long. Defined tendons, veins and bones: neck; shoulder; chest; elbows; hands -- all fucked up.

The idealized vagueness of the concept art is ruined. Granted it's easier to made 2D look good, but Battleborn seems to go out of its way to make everyone look like inhuman and off-putting nightmare fuel.

That concept art is still dangerously thin, but better than Ms. Snappable Kneecaps that made it to three dimensions.

Battleborn seriously needs to redo all their character models with a different design philosophy if they want a chance. Also the UI. It may seem like a lot of work, but it should be easier than making a new game from scratch which is what they're well on their way to needing.
