Never played an Elder Scrolls, which should I start with?
none, don't start
Suck my balls. OP I personally started with oblivion and I liked it and played all bethesda games but you can start with skyrim if you want thats a perfectly good place to start. In the coming years the next TES game will come out and you'll be ready. If you are turned off by older graphics began playing iwth mods

Oblivion. It's the middle ground. aged terribly graphics wise. from there you can choose to go to skyrim, or back to morrowind and you'll have a better idea of what each game sets out to accomplish
It will consume you and leave you hollow inside
Don't
I'm going to tell you Morrowind because I am nostalgia fag, but also because Morrowind has the most interesting setting and if you bother to pay attention and read the important books in game you'll learn a ton more about how the lore/world works than from other games and you'll see how Bethesda changed things with later entries.

This.
The ones with good gameplay are too graphically dated at this point to go back to without massive nostalgia goggles. And the ones that look good play like shit.

Skyrim with lore friendly mods. Key things to mod - UI, flora and fauna, dragons, more armor + weapons, and graphics. Google a best skyrim mod list and grab one or two fr each category. It's way better than v says.

>literally miss the game
Just play Skyrim and ignore the others. You aren't missing much.

Do you want a story or do you want porn?...
playing as a skooma smoking draenai futa

>playing any elder scrolls for the combat
This is the wrong series for you, the combat has always has been easily exploited trash and is absolutely the worst part of every game.

How much do graphical mods improve Oblivion?
I always wanted to try it but started out with Skyrim as babby's first TES game.

keep going
>>338103489
>>338104236
morrowind and oblivion are still playable with graphics mods
>>338103687
this is how i did it

Morrowind is dated graphically, the stealth and melee never satisfied me, but I enjoyed the world, the story, the expansions, the main quests, the armor system, the abilities. Everything was well-fleshed out when it comes to skills and abilities and that sort of thing. I loved Solstheim and Mournhold. Get ready to be called "n'wah", "s'wit" and "outlander".
Oblivion was beautiful. Still dated graphically, but gorgeous. Side-quests were fantastic, main quest was still gud, the world is lovely, but I don't feel it was as memorable as morrowind or skyrim. Press E to "Goddammit, Jauffre!", also say hi to Sheogorath for me because you get to visit him and he's literally perfection.
Skyrim felt watered down for someone like me who started with Morrowind. The Abilities/skillpoints/that sorta thing seen in morrowind became completely generalized in skyrim. Dragon Shouts felt kinda cheaty at times. I never wanted to leave Whiterun, either. Maximum comfy, other towns were poop. Main story was ehh thbqbbwbwy. Visiting Solstheim again felt depressing, you'll know why when you get there after experiencing morro's solstheim. Dawnguard was fun though.
Choose wisely.

Start with the one that interests you the most but be sure to play Morrowind, Oblivion, and Skyrim. Play your first one vanilla, then look into modding it.

Oblivionfor ps vita.

But anon, it wasn't for the vita.
It was for the regular psp.
>dated graphically
No, modern games are shit graphically. Morrowind is fucking beautiful as a game. The perfect balance between what you barely need as a 3d game to create the world and enough nice graphics to flesh it out a bit. When you add the clusterfuckery on top of that, it's ugly.
Fuck gamers that believe old graphics are "dated".

Oh.

I demand source
>>338103489
Oblivion for the 360 is the comfiest elder scrolls, afterwards your choice of Skyrim or Morrowind for the PC.
>>338108845
>old graphics aren't dated
this is my favorite bait. I fell for it, even.

I'm pretty sure you're asking me of the impossible anon
>>338109442
Oblivion is best played on the couch. It's one of the few exceptions where a game is better on console because of the experience it provides.
>>338103489
Honestly, the Imperial Library website is the best game related to the TES universe. Cut out the middle man and just read lore, thats all actual TES fan care about.
>>338108837
i need the source
>>338103489
If you care more about the world, lore, atmosphere, and customization then Morrowind.
If you prefer combat then Skyrim. Skyrim is also the easiest to start with if you've never played tes before.
