The only hitch is bountiful sunlight. It's said that's given by gwynvere, who's strongly implied to be the queen of lothric.
So while it wouldn't be beyond imagination that Queen Lothric's holy maiden Gertrude would have it, it's still a bit of a stretch imo
Dregs are piece of a humanity sprite, namely a depressed one.
Human Dregs are the heaviest part of the human body. In DaS1, Abyss Sorceries had were weighty, had emotions, and did physical damage.
Aldritch dreamt of New Londo, where the Abyss was buried by water. Archdeacon McDonald wants the Human Dregs so he can bury the dark under the water as Aldritch intended. This is also why you find McDonald in the water reserve.
If we look to DaS2, we see that Manus, the Father of the Abyss, had his soul split into numerous fragments; one Wrathful, one Jealous, one Lonely, and one Scared. Manus' Soul, arguably the Dark Soul by some accounts, was split into numerous other beings based on emotions, so it would not be outlandish to say that any old Humanity Sprite, a fraction of the Dark Soul, could do the same.
Why would Rosaria be Rosaria though? That doesn't make any sense, her covenant also points in the opposite direction.

I've played every dark souls including DS2 on release and it is by far the worst. I've even tried revisiting it on SOTFS but it's still covered in blisters and just feels like an amateur attempt at capturing the pacing that is in every other souls game. Every area is incredibly small and the levels are completely imbalanced for strength classes in the later game. There isn't a single level worth looking at the detail in because they all do the bare minimum to even be called a level.

It just refers to exiles, not pilgrims. There's even a pilgrim you meet before the wedding ceremony.
Pilgrims seem to be sent from Londor to find ashen during the final moments of the flame, likely to convince them to put it out. I don't think you would send exiles on a quest like that.

Who the fuck said that? Even in Dark Souls 1, killing Gwyndolin did fuck all to the illusion.

It's not easier to assume it when you can literally see the edges of the illusion and item descriptions state the sky is completely unchanging. The moon would move around the sky if it was just a normal area.

The corpse you get Attonement from probably would have been a pilgrim in that case. Since there are pilgrim corpses everywhere, it doesn't make sense for Attonement to be on a human corpse.
