Not really, just say that the Vault altered your memories and stuck you in the freezer.
Then later on a random Institute schmuck finds Vault-Tec data that happens to say where you and your sexy unmutated DNA are and that your memories have been altered, setting you up for even easier manipulation.
So he then plans a situation where you'll be indebted to him or some shit and he can have that sweet sweet unfucked DNA.
He does this by kidnapping your kid as bait(or some random kid you think is your kid due to mind fuckery)and making you think he brought him to the Institute so you'd deliver yourself to him, and then once you get to the Institute he makes you think that the brainchild of the manipulation is actually your son.
It can be done pretty simply if Bethesda put in effort, especially considering how shit the main story already is, but I doubt it'd happen. Sucks too since the game reference Blade Runner enough and they missed a perfect opportunity for another reference.
When they reveal that, lo and behold, your mind was tampered with, the BBEG points out bits and pieces of your memories he shouldn't know, like the spider you saw outside your bedroom window as kid with the orange body and green legs or how you and your brother once tried to play doctor but you chickened out.
So are you a synth?
If Bethesda pulled that off then they would redeem themselves slightly.

For me it does 140 per shot, and its "ability" is fire an additional projectile, so if it's on target... 280 damage. Pretty fucking good if you ask me, and that's without any modifications at all, so I'd imagine I can get it to do quite a lot more, though I'm mainly going to use it because it feels real nice to use.

I'm level 61 as of current.
I'm liking it so far, the island is pretty decently big, and it is honestly fucking beautiful. Stunning. The fog is fantastic, and all round it's very atmospheric.
I play on ultra with godrays on low.
The performance is decent, but I shouldn't be getting 30fps in some areas, so I'm a little disappointed.

not that guy but I played Fallout 3 and NV last year and enjoyed them both very much. I got around 70 hours into Fallout 4 before I found it unbearable. Coming directly from Witcher 3 almost everything was a direct downgrade that made me feel as if I was playing a last-gen game
