What the hell? What game has such a fucked system?
>>338065837
when dat crit hit just rite
>that guy that puts all his points into mercantile skills.

>games that make it possible to have more than 100% crit chance and even more damage
>>338067597
>100% crit chance
>still see some normal damage
>>338067338
Skyrim probably. Their perk system was fucked up. even looking at just the damage on different weapons hurt, knowing everything was so similar even after you've roleplayed your stats to reflect your character.
>>338067665
You never expected critical defense!
>>338067189
>>338067189
That makes no sense
I reread it and it still makes no sense
>>rng in anything other than a rogue-like
Do you people hate fun or something?
>>338067912
this, what a fucking casual
>game allows you to get 100% crit chance
>also has a separate crit stat for the multiplier
>>338067956
>have a "crit" stat
>it increases critical damage and not critical chance
>replay New Vegas
>try to make a different character than last time
>end up stacking crit chance like I always do
>>338065837
Law of averages, my friend.
>>338067956
the value of your crit is 1 in 10. With the 100% crit chance it moves to 2 in 10 instead of happening 100% of the time.

Yes I do enjoy the fear of being raped right out of the gate.

I love this game
>that guy who always put all his skill points into luckthat's me, sorryit's just so fun to see BBEG try to kill you and get fucked by a tile from the ceiling
>>338068302
>then uses a dex based weapon because it 'should' be STR by the looks of it.
>>338068091
it's not that, it's having a crit chance increase being multiplicative, so +100% crit chance is not having 105% crit chance(assuming base crit chance is 5) but having 100% more of the base crit chance, so the increase would be 5, and the overall would be 10.
to make a difference in damage the bonus would be way higher than 100% tho so you'd have to notice it early in the game, no idea which one would mislead you like that.

Whats the point of rng without stakes? My issue with rng in non rogue-esqe games is that the stakes are too low, so rng is always just a minor annoyance or a minor convenience. FFT is a great example, great game but the % chances on some stuff is just irritating, I'm sorry square I'm not going to get excited about whether my revive spell is going to work or not.
>he doesn't max out luck first

The sort of stuff that's just impossible in the shittier Falliut games

>That guy who put his points in health in a game where you can dodge
It's actually a good thing to do that with the pistol on Evil Within
you will save a lot more ammo when you reach the 50% chance to headshot an enemy, and even before that, rather than buffing its damage to the max
>Game has luck stat
>Very vague description
>It's either going to be the best stat in the game or the worst.
Fuck
>>338070917
I can understand why this is almsot always the case but it still makes me sad
>Have some sort of critical change related statistic
>Increasing it increases the damage a critical hit does
>No way to increase the actual chance of hitting them
>>338066930
Warframe let's you do this I think
>passive skill doubles your attack damage and increases critical chance to 100% when you're on 1% health
>>338070917
>All bosses immune to every status effect
>Enemies die in 1-2 turns
Why do they do this?
>>338067521
>game has mercantile stat
>all it does is make you sell for more and buy for less
>by the time you feel comfortable putting points into it, you're buried in money anyway
>>338070917
>boss heals himself
>you can't interrupt him
