Finished 4th game, loved it, but I can't bring myself to play 3rd longer than 20 minutes. Is it worth it?
I played the 2 on PS2 with the really shitty voice acting, got close to beating one of them before I lost interest then barely touched the other.
Also played Growlanser IV on PSP, which I finished. I liked it enough, it's pretty interesting. Every game is slow as fuck though.

It's amazing. Growlanser IV in particular is one of the best games I've played. I'm making my way through growlanser 1 in moonrunes right now.
By the way, I want to replay growlanser 2&3 on pcsx2 (is there an undub?) but I hear there's a problem with saving, how do I fix that?

I accidently stumbled upon the series a month ago. I fucking love games that are in the vein of Raw Danger/Steambot Chronices/Persona (Games that allow you to choose dialogue), so I instantly fell in love with Growlanser. Currently playing IV on PSP, plan to play II, III, and V after Ibeat Suikoden I-V, which is an objectively better series :^)

Sure. Growlanser is pretty unique though, it has one of my favorite battle systems. I guess it's not popular because the games looked pretty dated, 5 came out in 2007 and looked like an early PS2 game. Atlus games aren't visually impressive but at least EO and MegaTen have good art direction.
