I honestly like the PSP remake of Persona 1 WAY more than Persona 2. For gameplay reasons.

Persona 2 gameplay is slow as fucking balls and not fun at all.

Persona 1 is funny.

It's worse because slow battle system.

In DDS you can end a match pretty quickly, but not in this game. Even turning off battle animations it's still slow, it's hell with battle animations on.

I havent played dds in like over a decade but Persona 1 was the first time i got frustrated with random encounters so its that bad i guess.

Good game, good characters, decent music (some tracks are just lovely), branching quest midway through for multiple endings, AWESOME "hidden" playable character, lost of first person dungeon crawling that doesn't feel like ass, a good battle system that can rape you ONLY if you're a retard, Igor & Belladonna, FORESHAWDOWING, Hee-Ho, no social links, several secret Persona, and awesome.

I think it's fun. Yes, the dungeon crawlan is dated and the new music sucks ass.

But pre-weebshit Persona tried a lot harder to distinguish itself as an SMT spinoff. The enemies are demons and all the Personas are basically Stands from JoJo instead of 97% copypasta Kaneko designs.
The plot is a lot better-written too.
