How can anyone defend Nintendo this year? I can understand holding out hope for the NX or whatever, but with their rampant censorship (even of M rated games), memetastic localization choices, SFZ, push to incorporate amiibos as pay walls for significant portions of games, the Paper Mario and Metroid fiascos, and zero planned games left for the Wii U this year and about two - Kirby and Pokemon - for the 3DS, it's kind of hard to see the good.

Nintendo thinks consoles sell games and not the other way around, They make great consoles with a lot of potential and then give 10-12 good games, and then abandon it.
The same fucking thing will happen with the NX, they'll announce it and it'll be a great console but the games will be lackluster with only a handful of exceptions, the console will fail and Nintendo will create a new console, because Nintendo doesn't learn from it's mistakes.

They haven't made anything particulary good in a while. Splatoon, I guess, if you're into that sort of thing. But there was a time where a bad Metroid, a bad Zelda or a bad Paper Mario were all but unimaginable. Now we've had Other M, Skyward Sword and Sticker Star and there's little to indicate that they're gonna get back in shape anytime soon.
