>the easter egg in Homefront has improved textures
>it has specific levels so they obviously have possesion of the source codes
>it even works on PC
Be prepared, fellows. The HD remake of Timesplitters is coming
>get hopes up
>be disappointed when they announce homefront 3
>>338055987
>they put a timesplitters 3 easter egg in that one
just what we needed more HD remakes

we gonna get any pictures of these easter eggs?
Cant believe this game series hasn't gotten re-released yet.

Crytek still has the rights to TimeSplitters, though, and they don't have any plans for it. So yeah, not gonna happen any time soon.

So, should I order a copy of Timesplitters 2 or Future Perfect? I'm kinda leaning towards FP, because the cutscenes in that game look fucking hilarious, they're like a nice reward for a beaten level. Also T2 resembles Goldeneye way too much for my taste.
Also the mc is voiced by my favorite shitty voice actor, whatever his name is.

Get both. There's no excuse to not own both of them.
>>338057514
>not getting the first one
what did they mean by this?
>>338056563
This is the remaster we have always needed.
Problem with it is setting up net code (especially for online play on Future Perfect.)
>>338058147
The first one is more of a tech demo. It's enjoyable for sure, as it laid the foundation with its weird and humorous vibe, but you aren't missing too much if you don't play it first
>>338057514
Get both, period.

>tfw no friend to play TS with locally
at least with online.
I wonder if the textures are actually better or is a better filtering, I would have to emulate TS2 but I have no idea if the PS2 version has the better textures.
Oh by the way, if they fixed a little camera glitch happening on TS3 on PCSX they emulate very fine start to finish coop too.

>Future Perfect had a better campaign
>TS2 had better MP modes and content in general
FP could have been on par with TS2 or maybe better but Free Radical made the great choice to work with EA; who didn't do a damn thing to market FP because they were trying to push that godawful Goldeneye Rogue Agent instead
>>338058147

The first game had more awesome multiplayer maps, IMO. There's just not as many weapons, characters, or the arcade League like the others.
As a safe bet... Get all three.
>they make a new timesplitters
>has some hidden levels from the old games, like a best of featuring 3 levels from each old Timesplitters
i mean DOOM and Wolfenstein did it.
i think the timing would be perfect.
>>338058807
Don't remind me. Fucking EA. Man, it had so much potential to sell Future Perfect and they decided not to.
>>338058910
Hell, I feel like picking up Homefront to see if Anaconda can be played inside of TS2 inside of Homefront.
>>338055573
>the easter egg in Homefront has improved textures
How do we know they're actually improved and it's not an illusion caused by playing the game in HD?
>Tfw the easter egg is better than the game itself
>>338057514
FP has modern console FPS controls but TS2 is the better game. FP has a bunch of poorly-implemented gimmicks it copied from contemporary FPS and while it's still a damn good game, TS2 is simply better - it has better maps, better guns, a better soundtrack, and much better mapmaker tilesets.

Dock duck shoot was a damn good time from the first one. My friend and I spent hours leapfrogging each other's kill totals there.
