Why do people have trouble getting these things? I had 15 by the time I beat Aldrich. Sometimes I couldn't go more than a minute or two between being summoned, two or three times in a row.
The problem is that in the mid-late game of NG, 80% of people stop being shitters and switch from Way of Blue to a real covenant, so just farm up 30 if the little fuckers before you get too swole. I stayed at a relatively low level (sub-50 or so) and kept my weapon upgrades below +5, and got summoned like crazy, especially around Anor Londo and Farron.
Sucks that the Darkmoon covenant is basically useless late NG/NG+/onward tho.

My current method is:

>walk up stairs and stop
>parry the spear knight who 99% of the time does a charge
>walk up and circle around the sword knight who 99% of the time does a lightning slam
>run back and restart
I just farm from silver knights, drops chances are low but you can get one every 15 minutes or so, also while you can farm a lot of souls while doing it since silver knights drop ~10k each.
Is there anyway to replicate the family share trick on PSN and keep your save? I know you can make a new account and that works but you'd have to restart the game/not do it on your main account.

I used everything I listed and had 30 within 4 hours. I didn't use the CGSR+1 or +2 and my item discovery was at 360. Now to be fair 4 hours is still bullshit and not fun, but I put a couple of films on and it wasn't so bad.
As a side-note: in roughly 47 hours of play I literally have not been summoned as a Darkmoon Blade once.

Want to actually be summoned in the auto summon covenants?
It IS an actual glitch, some accounts simply can't be summoned for some reason
Assuming you're on Steam, create a family shared account, transfer your save data, play on the new account and enjoy working summons
To transfer characters:
1) Back up the original save file and keep a note of the folder name of your original account. The common location is "[User]\AppData\Roaming\DarkSoulsIII"
2) Start the game up on the family share account and create a new character. The options during creation do not matter.
3) Quit to main menu and go to load game.
4) Before selecting your new character, replace the save file in the new save folder with the one that you backed up before.
5) Select the new character and it will load the character that is in the first slot of your original save.
6) If you would like to transfer the new save back to your original account, repeat these same steps except for your main account.
For multiple characters, you will have to create the same number of characters as there are in your original save file and repeat steps 4 and 5 for each different slot.
Deleted characters are taken into account. You will have to make the total amount of slots in your original save INCLUDING those that you deleted.

It's true though, in my case I killed every mimic and didn't drop it at first, so I saw someone saying to go back to the place where the last mimic I killed was, quit and reload the game, and the item was there on the floor to pick up, if you look it up you'll see many people also got the symbol of avarice this same way. It might be a glitch but it works.
The instant my final achievement popped I hit the home button and deleted this piece of shit game.

This was case in 1 and 2, but is not in 3. The best way to farm it is to load up on hunter charms and keep tossing them at the first mimic you run into, you don't need to rest at a bonfire or anything, there's a new roll every time you hit it with the charm.
