i feel like there are many different answers for this, but personally no souls game has come close to beating Bloodborne. don't get me wrong, the souls series is one of my favorites and i love the games, but for me bloodborne was better. i think i can attribute it to the architecture and setting.

I'd recommend that you give at-least MGS V another chance. A proper one. It's one of the games that really gets off to a slow start. Even I thought that it was 'meh' at first since this was my first Metal Gear but my opinion drastically changed for the positive when the Mother Base had some proper infrastructure built and I got my D-Dog. This game probably has the largest single-player campaign of a non-rpg released to this day. 1 hour doesn't even mean 1% here so give it some time to grow on you.

Pretty much everyone agrees that the Lovecraftian Gothic horror atmosphere is "God-Tier". You owe it to yourself to finish the game at the very least. You're missing out on something quite special by neglecting Bloodborne so easily familiar. Level up a bit more... experiment with different weapons. The DLC removed the problem with the lack of weapons in the base game btw.
