You probably made "friends" with some pretty awful people during your golden days of WoW, you know.

I just wanted you to consider this.

I've never played WoW.

Yes, I did. If there was one thing I could undo in my life, it would be that.

World of Warcraft ruined so much for me.
>>
>>338042370
I never played WoW
>>
Yeah, I did.
One quit his job to grind and sell WoW accounts. He did nothing about talk about how amazing he was.
Another ended up stealing half his roommate's shit and moving out without telling him.
And a third flew out to bang the guild leader's girlfriend, causing the guild to split apart.

The only ones I still keep in touch with are the ones I knew before WoW.
>>
The worst friends I ever made, I all met through gaming in some way. Usually bonded over mutual bitterness, eventually grew apart because I couldn't keep up with all the negativity. Too much time and effort goes into being pissed at meaningless bullshit.

I want to leave /v/, but I keep coming back
>>
>>338042370
>he made friends on WoW
I was in a guild if that counts, wouldn't really call any of them friends but we had mutual respect for each other, they were mostly ex military so no OP, you have no point
>>
>>338042370
you probably made friends with a few dead people too

There are probably lots of really awful people on /v/, with whom you talk daily. Though I suppose that it's more distant when most of us have no names, and no real identities that are associated with this place.
>>
>>338042370
I used to eat a bunch of neurotin and blow trade chat and general chat up to the point that any other trolls were accused of being me. I said a lot of fucked up shit in my day. My friends in WoW were my friends irl. My guild, my father and I had met up with for LAN parties and they were good people. A big group of them worked for IBM. I mean I'm sure some of the people I associated with had a few skeltals but it was never brought to my attention in any way.
>>
>>338042370
I was the awful person.
>be teenager, playing BC
>make everyone in the guild uncomfortable by being a flaming faggot
>randumb humor and memes, overly sexual furry flavored behavior
>guild gets sick of me, drama happens, I pretend to kill myself
>make new account, rejoin the guild, start the same old shit
>they quickly realize it's me and kick me out

massive faggot
>>
>>338043687
Because you're a trip fag who seeks attention on an anonymous imageboard.
>>
>not really into videogames
>be friends with a chubby, short sighted kid who loved WoW
>lost contact to him after highschool
>two years later hear that hes a convicted rapist
Faggot was a virgin too when highschool ended. robots truly are the worst.
>>
>>338043015
I also am suffered from the same problem. I wish I had never discovered this place.
>>
>>338043951
>tripfag
>doesn't seek attention on an anonymous imageboard
This is a contradiction in terms.

>they were mostly ex military
So they were the worst of the worst
>>
>>338042370
>your golden days of WoW
>implying

I stayed as far away from that piece of shit as I could. The fact that modern /v/ has nostalgia for it sickens me.
>>
>>338043951
You want people to recognize your id. So long as you trip fag, you are inherently an attention seeker. There is nothing too terrible about it, chief. I mean it's gay but be you, have fun. No one gives too much of a fuck.
>>
>>338043951
Not you again please. You are the grim reaper of good threads. Every thread you touch turns to shit.

>not attention seeking
Here is your (You), I hope you leave this place and receive some genuine human interaction.

They're not cowering. They're praying to their false god. Which is why it's badass.

>>
>>338044051
Eh. You don't have to think it is a great game but it was THE mmo back in the day. WoW could be defined as, "that game people used to play" and it would be true for a vast majority of anyone that has played/plays modern games.
>>
>>338044747
What's so special about their false god?
>>
>>338045138
this kills the tripfag

there used to be so many
>>

You're an edgelord. Existing as a good natured human is way more commendable than your angst. It is hard to face adversity and preserve the will to help others and if you can do this, be the best you can be for yourself and others, you are elite. I would rather take a shot at being the best I can be than play on easy mode like some edgy scrub.
>>
>>338045205

I don't give a shit about their god. That's just a symbolic thing. An easy way of identifying them.

I'm white. If you judge the quality of someone's character based on their origin or skin color you are the problem. I understand simply saying this to some of you faggots is not nearly enough but if you stop and truly examine your misguided hate I'm sure you'll find that you are fucking autism incarnate. It's so easy to hate anything that scares you in any way and you're a giant pussy for it.

They seemed like pretty good people, those that had kids seemed like good role models as well
