You gotta change some config files to make it run at unlimited FPS + make the QTEs viable at high FPS, but it runs well (actually I don't know, but I'm getting a constantish 144 fps @ 1080p on a GTX 770) and looks good. Only been using a gamepad though, no idea how KB+M handles.

SR2 for $1 is great, although the game is on sale for not much more than that pretty often.
KiD is really good but the PC port is hot garbage. You've gotta make cfg changes to get it to work well at all and even after making them it still stutters like a bitch on my 780. Trying to play it makes my eyes bleed. If it works on your system though it's enough to make the second tier worth it.
SR3 and 4 are fun even if they're really different games, with 4 basically being a platformer/collectathon.
Haven't played risen even though I own them.
Dead island is trash.

Risen is fine if you played Gothic games, but if you don't like clunky animations and corny speech you prolly won't enjoy it.
If you do, just don't get used to Risen 1's combat system. Risen 1 actually does combat well (not perfect), you gotta dodge, counter and corner an enemy to win with combos. But in Risen 2 they throw that whole system out of the window and winning a match depends on how many times you click left click.

Here's my mixture of personal opinions and hear-say:
Sacred 3 was a total blunder and has next to nothing to do with the previous games gameplay wise
Risen is neat if you like oldschool WRPGs ala Gothic. Very rough and unrefined, but a lot of enjoyment to be had
Risen 2 you're playing as a pirate. Same deal as Risen 1, but gameplay got even worse somehow
Saints Row 2 is a classic; GTA clone but very unique in its narrative
Dead Island is decent, you get what you'd expect based on the genre
Killer Is Dead is a cool and short game, worth checking out. Playable, but not very well optimized. Requires some config-editing for 60fps, but that takes like ~10 minutes tops
Saints Row 3 is very fun for a playthrough, but not very comparable to the previous iterations. I recommend playing it in co-op
Avoid the 13$ tier, simply not worth it.
