I want to play some classic arena FPS, but everything I want to play is dead or has zero players that I can play with at a reasonable ping (aus).
Warsow, every quake game, Quake live since it went not free, pretty much every UT, TFC, HLDM, what the fuck is left? Is there anything that can satiate my desire to play a high skillcap movement based FPS?

Reflex looks cool as shit but I assume nobody is playing it.
The steam version of Nexuiz was fun as hell, but died so fucking fast.
Toxikk looked promising but is also dead as shit.

Okay. Then play Tribes (old ones) or wait for Midair. Granted its not an arena FPS but it still has skilled movement (skiing) and skill gap in general.
I heard Tribes: Ascend oceanic scene is pretty well still.
Toxikk was looking pretty good, but the community died soon after the beta was launched. The devs claim they have some secret marketing campain ready for launch though.

I cant see how they can get a popular playerbase when even QL and UT are struggling.
Maybe UT4 would be more popular if they actually tried to get the word out. That said pre-alpha maybe they're not trying to market it yet, it is pretty rough after all.
