I also seemed to enjoy zeros combat cause I played kiwami on ps3 using my memory of Y1. and I imported zero on ps3 just to screw around in until the western ps4 release.

i disagree entirely, the multiple cities felt fine outside of saejima's chapter and each had a unique spirit to them helped in turn with each character getting their own and the minigames unique to each area, and the story was typical yakuza storylines they all get retarded at some point or another im even pretty harsh on one that people tend to give a free pass which is yakuza 2 has a pretty terrible finale for me outside of the god tier final boss fight, the ending itself i think is the dumbest thing in the series with the fake out bomb. yakuza 5 has its retarded moments but it felt way more full circle than others and the fact that the entire supporting cast actually had importance was a step above the other games writing wise.

3 new cities with just restaurants and that's basically it.
The reason for this is that Kamurocho and Sotenbori have been in the games since 1 & 2 respectively so they have had most minigames, restaurants and such applied to them. They keep on reusing assets a lot to keep it annual so the new cities ended up worthless.

the cities arent as big as kamurocho but they still are decently sized, saejima's is the only one thats a pain cause your there for a whopping 1/5 chapters of hiss story so they bombard you with side quests and random encounters to pad it out in addition to invisible walls making you have to use crosswalks to get to the other side of the street, everywhere else is fine and feels alive.
