The plot is more or less the same as the mmo minus a few things, as toriyama wrote and did all the concepts for the mmo, which never made it outside korea.
Anyway, the mmo was set a huge distance in the future were humans all had varying small amounts of saiyan blood, so there was no plane jane human race to play as, as they all were part saiyan at that point.
Majin could transform based on various buu forms, namekains then also had "super namekian" (which made them huge like lord slug) and they also had a form which was just a powerup.
Anyway, buu, namekians, and humans used kaioken to stay even with eachother until each get their superforms.
(kaioken could be used in it of itself with x100 and had advantages/disadvantages for all races)
All races need to get the dragon balls to get their superforms, I forget why buu/namekians had to do it, but human/saiyans were so genetically distant from their ancestors they could not transform anymore without shenron increasing how much saiyan blood they have.
Oh, and I also forgot to mention in the plot of the mmo gohan had written a book explaining ki to everyone on earth so in the future everyone can fly and martial arts is omnipresent everywhere.
For the love of god I hope they fix the massive grind. It was a pain in the ass to grind Broly's mission 100 times just to get Videl's fucking shirt for one of my characters, jesus christ.

It's never actually been stated that humans can't get that strong. Goku always had the luck of getting the top notch training before everyone else, and he has the saiyan thing of surpassing own limits when near death. It's worth remembering that from the look of things he, Vegeta, Piccolo and some others are many orders of magnitude stronger than pretty much all Saiyans in history. They're the exception, not the norm.

They were also conquered by Frieza, when single handedly kills all of them at once.
Frieza is nowhere near as powerful as one of Gero's androids, who are in turn defeated by Cell, who is in further turn less powerful than Majin Buu.
And of course, Buu is nothing compared to Beerus.

I think it would be more fair to say that the saiyan race has the most potential of all of the races, not necessarily the most powerful.
Like, look at Goku and vegeta, they both got excellent training, and continually faced stronger foes that pushed them to their limits. They gained experience, and thanks to the saiyan power jumping ability, they were able to become far stronger than any saiyan in history.
If planet vegeta hadn't blown up, I'm sure that most of the saiyans would have plateued in power at some point, since they wouldn't be facing ever increasing powerful foes while working for Frieza. They would have reached a level and likely stayed there, except for a few that were insane in the membrane and kept on training. That potential is what Frieza feared.

Well Saiyans seem to have been stronger in the past prior to Frieza and the issue with Saiyans is that the more they lose the stronger they get. By the time of Frieza and the Ginyu Squad most of them didn't lose because they didn't bother fighting some of the stronger races in the Universe anymore.
Like before Toriyama stopped doing powerlevels after the Frieza Saga, Ginyu's was 120,000, with everyone else in the squad being 30-60k or so, and Vegeta was 10k during the Saiyan Saga, and he spent most of his life fighting a bunch of scrubs.
Like according to old V-Jumps, Vegeta's before Recoome was 30,000 and after Recoome, he was around 250,000.
Then Goku just pops up with 3,000,000 in his base form and up to 150,000,000 in SSJ with Frieza 100% at 120,000,000.
Power levels never made sense anyways, but Saiyans have ridiculous jumps from such simple losses or power ups basically which is why they're considered dangerous and needed to be kept in line. I imagine that's why Frieza only sent them to scrub planets so they'd easily conquer without near dying and growing, and sent Ginyu Squad to the other planets.

Besides why do you care so much about whether people are excited or not? DBZ games have been this way since Budokai 1/2, and only managed to make a shift into Tenkaichi with the general gameplay. The only varying differences they made were the board game in Budokai 3 and flying around the world map in Budokai 2 as compared to a full on cutscene story mode that 1 had.

Depends on the Saiyan. Nappa seemed all for making super strong half-breeds until Vegeta pointed out that the kid'd be stronger than them. Saiyans seem to be all about the improvement of the self and not of the collective, which is why they haven't abused zenkai boosts and kill injured Saiyans rather than heal them up in order to power them up.

I'll admit. I made a SSJ death ball spam character for the sole purpose of grinding missions. I could do them on my physical saiyan or mixed human character, but it was so much easier to bust into a mission, hit the SSJ ezmode button, and spam death balls while watching something on the other monitor.
