I don't get why you guys keep saying this when we didn't get super saiyan hair, majin forms, Freeza Clan transformations, or namekian fusions.
We really need all of the above before even thinking about adding more races.
Only played DBZV for a couple hours before dropping it (had control issues on PC). Heres what i would want:
>As many characters from the universe for the general versus mode
>No stats tied to outfits
>unique customization/outfits instead of just assets of other character's clothes.
>Story mode = no leveling system, instead its currency gaining, ability unlocking and outfit unlocking(?)
>Singleplayer/story has the player character brought up to a static level of power for the fight and its just up to the player to use their own personal skill and unlocked abilities/ability configuration to win.
>Character growth, EXP, skill points come through Ranked PVP
>Everyone's character starts basic as fuck.

>Leveling up lets you put a point into a stat and slowly you define your own play style and capabilities. Allowing us to see different builds and such emerge. Maybe have a ranking wipe every other month.

Cinematic attacks are cool for big grand abilities. I honestly am not 100% on how XV did them, but having played every budokai and tenkaichi, rush attacks are so broken, and take too much control away from the player.
If we wanted to watch the move in a cinematic why are we playing a video game?
Combo/rush cinematics, i feel, should be removed. Instead, just let the player have more control over their combos, knockback directions and teleports. Let it replace automated combos.
Beam attacks, let us charge them instead of rush animation->cinematic. This will give opponents slightly more time to react; opening the chances of having a beam struggles. If the attack makes it to the opponent, then sure cut to a cinematic that makes the attack look sweet, maybe blowing up the stage.
But hitting up + triangle, having your character dash forward and headbutt the opponent before cutting to a cinematic of a special move just seemed real silly. Especially in the older games where lesser-characters had nothing but those "rush" attacks; ie. Gohan, Pan, Videl...

Seriously, the weird lighting can stay and models could be the same too just as long as the fixed how clunky things like flying and shit looked.
The super/ultimate attacks looked fine but the basic movements you see all the time like moving looked so weightless and dead that it was jarring, especially considering how much you saw them.

Official DB Continuity
So it goes Jaco (manga) > DB (manga) > DBZ (manga part) > DBS (anime) for "official" canon up to 2016 with Dr. Slump fitting in at least marginally. Things happen in Dr. Slump that would effect DB heavily, so Dr. Slump (DB) is most likely it's own tangent incarnation that follows the Dragon World's rules.
The Super manga is just a recap/slightly different version of the events of anime. Promotional material like the DBE manga and commercials fit here too.
The movies are all what if scenarios at different points in the series. What if Broly existed and came to earth, what if Freeza/Vegeta had a brother, what if Gohan had to fight Bojack, etc.
GT is an alternate what if timeline to Super detailing what happens after Buu.
Xenoverse and Dragon Ball Online are what if scenarios where Trunks becomes a Time Patroller and fucks around solving things with Donut Steel throughout all of the different timelines.
The other games are just retellings/rehashes/what if storylines that deal with the anime/manga/movie events pooling them together.
Dragon Ball Evolution is it's own reimagined DB universe with it's own rules/quirks. As bad as it is, this Goku is still an official Goku and exists in his own Dragon World. The other shitty live-action movies count toward this as well.

Toriyama drew Kid Trunks with blue hair for Battle of Gods. Doesn't mean it's a different character; just means Toriyama still wants Bulma and Trunks to have the same hair color, even if he has to use Bulma's anime colors instead.And the animators will ignore it again and they'll still have different hair colors.
Also, the sweater Trunks wears in his new design is the same as the one Time Patrol Trunks wears under his coat. Considering DBO's story was Toriyama's idea in the first place, it's possible Super's next arc is going to be a prequel to Trunks joining the Time Patrol.

Yeah, this one is something I hope changes too. KISS principle needs to be used more often. I get what they were going for with the min/maxing but in practice it just makes for cookie-cutter character builds focused around spamming a particular attack type over all others while HEAVILY penalizing jack-of-all-trades builds.
