Tales of Zestiria has quite a bit to offer, and games with online multiplayer like CoD have loads of timesink potential. The PS4 is outselling the Xbone.

360 had a year's head start on PS3 and PS3 launched at $600 yet Sony STILL sold more consoles than Microsoft.

First of all the PS3 outsold the 360, and we all know what happened in the last 3 years of 360's life, a heavy dose of no games. 360 is literally dead, stopped being produced, while the PS3 is still getting games like StarOcean5, Persona5, and a handful more this year alone.
This is coming from someone who got an Xbox and 360 instead of PS2 and PS3.

But that happened in the second half of 360. It was getting a handful of Kinect games and their first parties were turning to absolute shit (see halo4, GeoW:Judgement, every Forza since 4) while the PS3 was still getting new IPs
360 was more of a lucky hit, because PS3 fucked up bad. 360 was MS's exception to the rule of irrelevancy, while PS3's as Sony's exception to the rule of home console market leader. PS1 sold over 100million, PS2 sold over 100million, PS3 faltered, and the PS4 is on its way to be a PS2 if sells continue this pace.
MS lived and died for their multiplatform contracts (such as getting CoD DLC early, making it the go-to CoD console) and for their major IPs like Halo. With them now losing most multiplat exclusivity deals, Halo going to shit with 343i, GeoW being developed by a new team, and Forza stagnating for half a decade now, they have nothing else to offer.
Now PS4 has the multiplat deals, but it still maintains the alure of being the final fantasy console, or the kingdom hearts console, even though they aren't exclusives, most casuals associate the brand with those kind of games.
PS4 being full of actual jap sony exclusives doesn't hurt either. My point is that Playstation never 100% depended on a single big game (like Halo), it always had various points of interest

The only 2 old games are GravityRush (which arguably is a big upgrade from unstable 20fps on vita to 60fps on PS4) and Witch&theHundredKnight, which literally had a console crashing bug on the PS3, so it's pretty much only safe to play on PS4
