Everyone on /v/ is confirmed for not having rhythm. Seriously, there is nothing wrong with TW1 combat, especially after you get more spells. There's a tempo that it follow with your swords, and if you're able to get that tempo and mix spells/bombs into the equation you have a decent combat style. Of course, this is allsubjective.
I had fun playing it. Some parts were boring but when the game opens up, it gets really fucking good.

TW1 is really more rhythm than timing, though that style of combat would've been great as well. I think there are many ways where they couldn't find the combat better, there's no doubt about that, but what we got isn't as bad as the feedback it receives. My only complaint is that you really don't get a variety of spells fast enough.
