I remember feeling like a "sick hacker" playing the bike level. You could crash into one of the signs and go into a secret level.
I used to play that level for hours. Awesome game.
Used to think 3 was the best but I thought it had too many gimmick levels.

I'm a professional artist... A 'drawing' isn't automatically 'art' and the manner in which it is drawn is not an 'art style', you can call it a 'style' but not an 'art style'. That'd be like calling a bottle of coke a 'science style' because making coke is technically chemistry.

when you say level variety, how do you mean? aesthetically there's several variants that regular platforming levels take on (medieval, arabian, tomb, underwater, future, etc) and i would agree with you if aesthetics are what you're regerring to when you say level variety. if you mean actual design of the level i'm skeptical that crash 3 has more variety in how it arranges its platforming than crash 2.
though i suppose if you count all of the gimmicky levels crash 3 would have more variety in both respects. i don't care much for the non atformimg levels of crash 3, which is why i'm curious if you can show me that crash 3's platform levels have more variety in their structure than 2's.
