Push the analog stick forward, and turn left and right as if it was a wheel. Makes it 50% easier. I did it like that all the time.

OP that shit infuriated me as a child. I simply couldn't get it after even 15 tries, shit was so annoying. I go back every now and then to replay the game and i get past it first try every time now

all you have to do is put number 4 in the middle and make all the other ones rotate around it until it works
all the puzzles in this game have some kind of stupid trick that makes them piss easy when you know them, the one where you flip the paintings is pretty easy as is but you literally just have to press 1, 2, 3 and 4 and you're done, you don't even need to think about it
