Besides the unnecessary grinding starts for equipment and how it handles commands on doors,I find it pretty fun.Really make you worth every penny with so many missions and random generated levels.
It's random mob spawn is also great, more games in general should implement it.

I'm trying to get into the first rainbow six but I don't know if I'm playing it "right".Should I rely more on the planned tactics or just grab the NPCs myself and do it manually?

You should be spending 15 hours planning the mission only for it to go completely wrong in the first 30 seconds.

Never forget the greatest crime of console casuals.

No great PC franchise has ever been so bastardized as RB6

>make a good plan
>AI squad wipes due to RNG

They can't keep getting away with this! Just when I think they took everything they find something else! This was the first one that really hurt.

>takes like 5 hours before you unlock a weapon with a suppressor
seriously,if they wanted to extend the game's replayability just make some kind of online scoreboard or ghosts replays with your friends.

How are the new jagged alliance games?I haven't even watched any gameplay scared of what I would find

i got 35 hours on this. its very good with mods, reminds me of XCOM a little bit if you get the custom portraits.
it's just clunky, i don't like how it controls. missions where you have to go up multiple floors become a fucking nightmare and missions where you need to rescue the randomly generated, have no fucking clue where you are hostages, then escort them all the way back to the zone is such a dated and bad mechanic.
the sequel looks good though.
>>
>>337870946
you do all the work and get the team mates to pick up the hostages
>>

Don't even bother. The 1.13 mod for JA2 will just trump everything since the devs have no deadlines and they just keep adding features and shit to the mod. There's literally zero reason for anyone to make a new JA game.

Insurgency if you're on a server with talkative people

It just occured to me that late 90s/early 2000s miliary shooters look really dated starting with the covers, due to the lack of tacticool attachments everywhere.

Hell, in MGS2 the SEALS don't even have supressors on their M4s.
>>
>>337872615

Why would they need suppressors on their M4s?

It's not like Dead Cell and the Gurlukovich mercenaries didn't know they were there when they flew in on fucking Blackhawks and fast roped onto the Big Shell, it wasn't exactly a stealthy entrance.
