Post some god tier OST remixes.

Not the new one, its fucking shit. I literally couldnt tell it was supposed to be a remix of that song until I was told. Then I watched the composer's video on it and while I sympathize with him all he did was make it worse. Good lord its fucking awful. I dont understand how anyone could aprove this in their right mind

The problem is that he made it too low and too slow. Sure, he's got the notes, but it doesn't sound as recognizable because it's slower than the original and because it's a much lower pitch. The techno shit might have worked well, but that's a big if.

Best version of I Sawed The Demons I've ever heard.
>>337832284
It's electronic music at around 120-130 bpm with heavy implication on bass and sawtooth noises
It's fucking generic shitty-ass dubstep
>>337830682
It's unjustice how low his sub/view count is low. This dude is a god.
>>337832521
lmao, what is this dadrock?

Ugh, why fuck this? Never trust a "Remake", also fuck the "Let's name it LITERALLY the same as the first game" meme, it doesn't fucking work, I hate it and it's confusing, also, this will be done like a million times again and again in the future, in 2050 there will be a game called just "Doom".
Name it "Doom Rebirth" or Doom 4 or something.
At least shit like Final Fantasy has stood true to this, despite having XIII-3 and shit.
>>337833671
Not that anon, but Viklund is intelligent with his use of electronica, it's not dubstep, but it sounds more like music.
When you're trying to recreate an iconic piece of music, but fail to make it sound anything like it, it's different.

I wouldn't go that far, here's something made post 2000. The whole game's ost is amazing really.

This game has no dubstep. Educate yourselves on music. Just because it has bass doesn't mean it's dubstep.

>>337837043
Don't take it personally Djent, we just don't like the new DOOM's soundtrack
>>337837043
I have nothing against Djent or his wife's son but I never fucking realized it was a revision of E1M1, you can't tell and that's kinda missing the point of it.
>>337837117
Wow, that's fucking face-melting.
What does /v/ think of Misha Mansoor?

>>337837194
>>337837285
I saw someone say about how DOOM at the time reflected the metal trends of of the day, and today's DOOM should do the same. I'd have to agree on that, but I could go without the electric stuff in the foreground.
>>337835628
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=g-y0MdPXslo
It's just a cover of the original but fuck me if it isn't fantastic.
>>337835056
>Thrash
>dead
Listen to some Vektor or something.
>>337837147
That sounds NOTHING like electronica. Fucking fear factory is closer to electronica than the music in this game.
>>337837285
How the fuck do you not recognize that riff? I spotted it right off
>>337837117
Wait, so they could actually make decent metal but chose techno over it for fucking E1M1? Who thought this was a good idea?
>>337838024
it's good as shit when it pops up in the game. BFG divison's good too

I'm very very chill on how this OST is, Mick Gordon is great and did a superb job with Wolfenstein TNO and I like how brutal some of the new tracks sound, they fit perfectly. Rip & tear would pump the fuck out of me.
But I feel he kinda failed with the E1M1. He should have kept it on a 7-string for that song.
Misha is a cool guy, he seems very nice and seems to be talented, he IS Periphery.
>>337837893
I'm not a djentleman :^)
Wait... what the fuck, I just listened to the linked video and sounds nothing like what he talks about in the Behind The Music Part 1. In that part where he transposes the riff to the 9 string guitar. I stand corrected, you are right.
It's kinda lackluster though, compared to Andrew's version.
>>337832545
>heavy implication on bass
how would one imply the use of bass via music?
>>337837841
So you're saying Fear Factory is dubstep? That's rich, anon.

only ost I listen to is undertale
>>337839330
I don't know if he could have pulled it off tbqhs.
I love Trent's music but he seems to have mellowed, it's part of his own aging and being actually happy in life. I'm glad for him tho, TDS perfectly describes what I went through last time I hit rock bottom.
>>337833750

>>337832320

Voivod just released a new EP called Post Society. It leans less towards prog than their other stuff, basically shows that thrash ain't dead.
>>337830976
The first time I really felt a kick between the soundtrack and the gameplay was during that track near the end called 'BFG Division' I think in the section just after the tower ascension.
I found myself nodding along to it without even realizing.
I've seen bands like Heart of a Coward, Periphery and Acacia Strain live so I'm no stranger to this stuff, but some parts of DooM 4's soundtrack just feel *good* in a way other bands sometimes don't.
