Probably not worth the 60$ price tag but it's easily the best singleplayer fps i've played in the last decade.

Hardcore Doom 1 apologists use the argument that something old should still be considered as incredible today as it was at its time when it was actually revolutionary, compared to other old shit at the time. Crysis is a terrible shooter that's basically just a tech demo, but Wolfenstein is still worse in comparison because of how much less of everything it has. 4 weapons with universal ammo, nearly identical maze levels with no verticality, rudimentary AI that has no tactics, repetitive music and audio... etc. When you actually compare two things, historical technical limitations are no excuse. Peter Jackson's King Kong is just as bad as a movie as the original century old movie is, but it has a century more advanced special effects, so it's better.
