UK first sales just released, sold 66% more than UC3, and likely doubled it when digital is included. It also sold more than RotTR and Halo 5 combined.

Everything.
Good honestly, it's the best uncharted game.
The PS4 being the best selling console of this generation by far.
That's a big audience they have to buy into it. Even if they didn't play 1-3.
The game is fucking fun and looks absolutely cutting edge for a $300 console to be honest. Well deserved
I love how /v/'s opinion of this game did an about-face once it finally came out and people finally played it
>>337800051
Why do sonnigers like to spout their sales numbers so much?
Yeah, Skyrim also sold a lot, but that doesn't mean it's a good game
>>337800051
In UK, not worldwide
Kudos to them. I'm liking the game a lot more than I thought I would.
>>337801072
I still prefer 2, its hard to top it honestly
>>337801251
Except Uncharted 4 is a good game you butthurt manchild
>>337801246
for me it was the other way around.
i liked uncharted 2 and 3, but was dissappointed with U4. too much traversing, too little combat, more serious tone but not quite serious enough, also real lack of setpieces, and the best part of the game they spoiled in the first gameplay trailer.
The thing about this game is we thought the pre-release screenshots were bullshots, only to find out the game actually looking better or if not just as which is mind blowing.
It's such an awesome game
>>337801454
Yes, and?
>>337800051
Let's see
>PS4 sells like hotcakes
>PS4 has now had like 4 decent exclusive titles and those launched with the system and Bloodborne is pretty niche to dudebros
>PS4 FINALLY has another exclusive title that's known to most people after a huge drought
>sells really well when nothing else is coming out even third-party wise
Gee, I'm very perplexed as to this turn of events.
>>337801185
This. I've got a high end PC but in all honesty not many PC games even utilize that power outside of high res textures and frame rate. Designing games is an art and naughty dog has mastered that art.
Daily reminder that you can have the best art equipment money can buy, but a better artist will always outclass you on shitty notebook paper with a number two pencil.

>>337800051
>UK
Just like for ratchet and clank, it's only about the UK market, that was dominated by Xbox last gen.
>>337800051
Now they're going to make a sequel expecting the same sales when in fact Uncharted 4 only sold as much because people are starved for games.
>>337801459

>>337801841
You neglect to realize this will continue to be a reality in terms of exclusives on the PS4.
They'll dole them out slow and steady.
It's why I'm not even going to consider a PS4 until the revision down the line and a bundle of some sort which is ways off.
>>337801848
hmm i was talking about the madagascar chase.
that part was perfect, it was all gameplay featuring the new rope and the car driving mechanics.
fucking loved it,nothing before or after came close to it
PS4 is the best selling console this generation but doesn't have too many exclusive games at the moment.
So, when something that other systems can't offer, people are really eager to buy it.
The less games there are for the system, larger the attachment rate will be. This is just normal.

>>337800051
Two things:
One, it should sell more, it's better.
Two, there aren't exactly that many games on ps4, poor ps4 owners will snap up any halfway decent game they can. I suppose the new ratchet and clank sold really well too, despite being mediocre by all accounts?

>>337801841

Good taste
Honestly I find the game pretty average only chapter 13 and the whole game is the been there done that feel to it. Also yet again Naughty Dog can't design combat encounters properly.
You know what I fucking love about this game?
I mean-I'll be accused of shilling, but whatever.
It's the balance of gameplay and set-piece scripted stuff.
In a lot of games it's a straight up QTE, or else it's a cutscene.
In U4, I feel like I am still playing during this crazy shit.
One segment of the game has some of the craziest shit I've seen but is one of the most fun parts I've played in any game for a while.
>Climb up a TALL building
>Shit goes wrong at the top
>It's crumbling down
>You still control Nate as he jumps and climbs and scrambles his way onto sturdy ground only for it to be slammed by debris starting the whole thing again
>Finally make it to the bottom
>A few minutes later there's a sweet car chase through the streets which feels freeform, fast and fucking chaotically fun
>You hang from the back of a truck, off the side of a highway bridge, by a fucking rope
>You swing around shit and over boats and shit
>You get dragged along the ground shooting guys on bikes alongside you
>You climb up the rope when it's clear and get on top of the truck where you continue to shoot bikeniggers
>Truck gets shot to shit
>You jump onto any of the nearby cars triggering a highjack fight, which you play, before taking over the car and continueing the chase
It's fucking SICK.
Not sure of replayability, though. But first time through, it's a blast. And I think playable action sequences are a key part.

They obsess over FIFA instead of CoD/Halo.

>>337802858

the whole pirate island thing also seems like a step back compared to the environments of 2 and 3

>>337800051
You kinda gotta hand it to Naughty Dog here.
When Uncharted 1 came out it was so utterly dwarfed by Halo and Gears on the 360. Nobody cared for it, everyone thought it was sorta lame. Then they did Uncharted 2 and blew everyone away, but it still wasn't on the level of Halo in terms of sales. I personally wasn't a fan of U3 though.
Now however Halo and Gears are both dead franchises that nobody gives a fuck about and Uncharted grew into a fucking monster. It's kind of impressive. The Naughty Dog A-Team basically got better with each and every release (Uncharted --> Uncharted 2 --> The Last of Us --> Uncharted 4).
Can't wait for TLOU2.
>>337804382

In most cases baked looks much better than realtime, mirrors edge still looks great primarily because it relied heavily on baked lighting.

There's still too much climbing, the first few hours especially. There's also a lot of other things to do that the other games didn't have though.

>>337807342
Why would they make me mad? I am 100% aware that Uncharted is dogshit game and series and people only pretend to like it ironically or because it's an exclusive.
Again, there's a reason you spend hundreds of hours posting about it, but only a few hours actually playing it. Gotta self-justify that $90 purchase.
>>337807116
>>10 hours of mostly-QTE gameplay at best.
This is how we know you didn't play it. There is very little QTE in U4. The stuff that is there is fairly minor and are just button prompts like mash X to bypass a barrier at the end of an area or something.

the climbing feels great in U4 though. You can actually guide your hands into gripping places without having to press x, just stretch your hand over to it with the stick. With all the sliding and swinging it's really not that obvious where you're supposed to go a lot of the time; figuring it out is like a puzzle (that is much more fun than solving a real puzzle)

Is English not your first language? Here let me try to explain it again in simpler terms:
There are about 10 set pieces, each is about 2 minutes long. That makes 20 minutes of set pieces total in a 13 hour game. The rest of the time you have full control and there are no QTEs.
Good luck improving your reading comprehension.

Nothing really, its the same game as Uncharted 3. The reason its selling better than U3 is because Playstation is no longer the uncool console. What I mean by this is that last gen the 360 is the one everyone bought to be with their friends etc. They would go ahead and diss the PS3 etc. Now the roles have reversed and everyone is giving U4 a chance.
Its a shit game.

It's a great game that was marketed fairly heavily. Word of mouth certainly helped out. It's an exclusive title that many people bought their PS4 to play. It is a stellar game from a company that gives a shit about what they make. A wonderful send off. Much better than Uncharted 3 in every single aspect. At this moment, I think that it is better than Uncharted 2.

Hey kojima
I feel like people's overrating of TLoU actually hurts Uncharted 4 a little. People now want gritty survival and realism where prior to that they were awed by Uncharted.
That's not to say 4 doesn't have flaws, downtime to explore and marvel at the landscape is appreciated, but 4 has at least two levels that aren't flashbacks dedicated to that. Nadine is also just one big mary sue who gets off scot free, I wanted to like her, her introduction with sully is great, just the rest of the game I was wishing she was more grounded and susceptible to consequences like every other character.

>>337809146

Yeah I agree that the maps don't feel as good as uncharted 2.
In 2 you had choke points with heavy weapons so you could always know where and who to watch out for,but now everyone just spawns with whatever they want so it can make games a bit one sided sometimes.
Spawning with heavy weapons was a mistake cause now you have to watch out for everyone instead of the guy who managed to snatch it from the middle of the map.
U2 was more balanced but 4 is fun
>>337801520
This holy shit, I was impressed.
I called bullshit like everyone else at the E3 teaser back in 2014, but looking at it again, I honestly can't see a difference from the cutscenes in-game and it, besides the 60fps it once had, and may still have if ND updates it for the Neo
>>337800051
I feel like buying games has become more of a bandwagon thing than people being actual fans. People go by what they see get upvoted by le nerdy reddit users :^) and want to fit in. I bet 80% of that 66% haven't played any of the first 3 games. They only got it because they saw all of the upvoted posts on social media sites and thought well I want to be part of this wonderful nerd culture because I'm so hip and quirky. Another recent game release that seemed to be hip to want to play was the Division. I could tell the multiplayer was going to be shit after the beta and said so, but no one ever agreed with me. Then the game comes out and Division posts turn from positive to negative then quickly became irrelevant. Game companies love it because its more customers but the consumers half the time end up with a shitty product because they are idiots who can't think for themselves. U4 might be good but I haven't played it because I think 3 ruined by interest in the series.

And the Uncharted Games arent even sequels you can play them indviually as their own games and a few references to ither ganes are made thats about it.
Im shocked it sold more than halo especially after so much emphasis was placed on the fall season being essential to sales.
Microsoft even blew all that money on tomb raider just to delay uncharteds release to avoid that supposed prime season.
>>337809904
>I forgot that was a thing Sony Could do and get away with.
Literally everyone remasters or re-releases their shit.
Capcom, Square Enix, Microsoft, Nintendo, etc.
With the Uncharted games however they at least properly remastered them and improved the graphics which is way more than what most companies do.

Too bad the game sucks.
There's so much walking around these empty open areas with nothing to find except for some pointless collectible. The pacing during first few chapters is horrible, especially the Scotland section. It's just an endless series of traversal and puzzle sections that take zero thought or skill to complete.
There's not enough combat in the game to keep things interesting, Uncharted 2 had the perfect mix.
>>337810393
I was disappointed the online wasn't included too, but it is still 3 full games with improved graphics for $40
To be honest I think Uncharted 4's mp is better than 2 or 3's, I just hope the co-op lives up to the standard too.
>>337808621
I didn't even get 4 yet (I'm waiting for it to get cheap first), but 1-3 and Golden Abyss are fucking great games. I also recently played through Nathan Drake Collection and these games still hold up. Maybe, just maybe these are just fans making it known how much they liked the newest game.
I'm playing on crushing and it feels so fucking good to beat a camp of enemies without ever resorting to turtling behind cover. It was frustrating at first but now I've gotten really good at it. Playing with the HUD off feels great too
running away, flanking and regaining stealth feels so good in this game
>>337810441
>Jesus the Sony shilling force is off the charts in this thread.
How is it shilling?
Is Uncharted 4 a good game? Yes it is. It's unanimously praised by critics and the players.
Yet because you who haven't played the game and is upset by all the praise and populaity this Sony PS4 exclusive is getting think it's a shit game undeserving of all the praise (despite not having played it) that means that everyone that disagrees with you is a shill?
>>337810231
Missing the Online my main gripe. And it was really good in U3
Whats impressive is that they could do that. Uncharted series relied a lot on the "power of the cell" so they were able to recode the game to work on x86 and upgrade it impressive programing work.
Same thing from the Jak and Daxter series and then taking a foriegn language the PS2 used and then transering it the PS3 Cell was even more impressive.

>>337810885
Play U3 10 minutes. Then Play U4 10 minutes. U4 is way better.
But fuck that what im mad about is about something else entirely. In Uncharted 3 Nathan Drake meets Sully when he was early teens in columbia.
Nathan Drakes brother acording to U4 gets locked up when they are early 20s imparently doing heists all this time.
It really fucks with the head cannon i had with this game when Sully and his Older Brother have never met until U4.
And Sully took care of Nate the entire time acording to U3. God damn this writing.

I think 2 is better than 4.
2 has a much better pacing, and a better balance of combat and climbing.
2 also pulls off a slightly more serious adventure feel better than 4. The marriage and brotherhood stuff in the latter just feel a bit banal in this series
>>337811281
When you're getting into the auction house, Drake mentions that Sam and Sully never met face-to-face but it's implied they knew about each other. Still, it's very flimsy- Sam's existence as it is definitely takes a shot at Drake and Sully's relationship and history.
>>337811281
yeah, they should of had sam captured and charged for the old woman's murder in that scene in the mansion. Nate goes on the run and it leads organically into U3.
Sam then get's released from prison later as a young adult and they start searching for Avery's treasure.

>>337811281

>>337811836
all games are created with the goal of being self-contained. Most movies are too, but it's more true for games. There may be minor references to previous entries but they are unimportant to the overall plot. Everything you need to know should be told to you in the game you are actually playing, including recapped material from previous games
>>337809698

>>337812853
1 sucked. The bullet sponge enemies just kept on coming and the combat was tedious as hell. The environments were boring and small. It was still revolutionary for 2007, but it was not that fun yet.
3 was more of the same as 2 and had worse pacing and worse aiming. It really picked up at times and was as fun as two on certain chapters
I loved the melee combat in 3 for example; how you could smash people with wrenches if you had them near a table, and how you could push them out of closed windows.
Also the big thug enemies. Syria, the airstrip level, the chateu, the ship graveyard and the sinking cruiseliner were all fun as fuck.
There were other chapters that were boring though.
>>337813215
The one thing 1 does wrong is the pacing though.
It's absurd what a huge chunk of the game is just shooting the same pirates over and over.
Sneaking isn't a feature yet either, so I'd say that alone makes it have worse gameplay
>>337813215

Looking at interviews, it seems they actually just made up a bunch of "set pieces" and flimsily tied them together at the last minute
>>337811281
Sully and Sam DO know each other. And have NEVER seen eye to eye. Sam thinks that Sully is a double crossing asshole. They say that outside the Rossi estate. Pay attention guys. That was why Sam and Sully chumming it up was awesome in the end. Sam had changed for the better as did everyone else. I really like that they went off in the same direction in the end. Wonderful way to close it off.
Uncharted 4 has the greatest, most satisfying off-road driving simulation ever to be seen in a videogame. I would buy a racing game of this

>The bullet sponge enemies just kept on coming and the combat was tedious as hell
Sounds like Uncharted 3
Are you complaining that it all focuses on one area instead of it being a globe trotting expedition?
>>337813461
Pacing in the first game is a lot better than it is in 3, are you joking? It doesn't feel as jittery because it doesn't jump from one location to the next in an extremely awkward manner like 3 does. IT's all contained to one general location.
>>337813713
>The problem is that they don't form a proper whole.
Yeah, because the game was built around its set pieces. It's jarring and only tries to focus on spectacle.
>>337813596
I never said I enjoyed the jetski sections, those were bad. It's still better than 3.
>bullet proof enemies
That also goes for Uncharted 3, so I don't know why you're mentioning it with 1.
>Sneaking isn't a feature yet either, so I'd say that alone makes it have worse gameplay
It not having sneaking doesn't automatically make the gameplay worse. The sneaking in 3 wasn't any good. Hell, 3 actually is missing features that 1 has, yet I'm supposed to think it has better gameplay? The enemies in 3 don't physically react when they get shot. all the weapons feel the exact same and they have absolutely no recoil. It has terrible weapon balancing and the gun reticule is one of the worst I have ever seen in a video game.

>>337815118
They all split the treasure at the end and Nate getting caught in 2 cost him and Sully a lot of money to bail him out.

the combination of whatever motion blur technique they're using and the 30fps makes it feel like you are controlling the characters in a movie (24fps). The color-grading and lighting looks like it would in a carefully planned movie scene, too. I hardly even 30fps as a negative anymore after playing the game all the way through. Higher fps makes it feel less like a movie because of the soap opera effect

That's it.
As a game it's mediocre, at best. Bereft of any challenge, extremely repetive QTEs, few enemy types and just more of the same generic action-movie plot and dialogue. It appeals to the lowest common denominator, like a Michael Bay film.
The pacing in this game is pretty terrible imo
The story is actually structured like a movie, a really, really long one.
Beginning of the game is EXPOSITION AHOY and you're thrown left and right, between , characters, time and locations because motivations have to be established before the game can properly begin. The middle act is easily the strongest part of the game and it feels like Uncharted in full swing. But then you get to the fucking island and the game starts dragging its feet. The action gameplay is now justified in the story so it feels like they shoved a bunch of gameplay at the back end to make up for the start. Because they couldn't have much gameplay in the beginning because the story didn't allow it.

They have literally one good game under their entire record. It was an anomaly.
KZ1 played like trash and had a convoluted story.
KZ2 played decently (though was inferior to Halo and the COD of the time still), and had a decent story and well balanced multiplayer.
KZ3 had a fairly boring story and a gimmick filled multiplayer. Obviously tried to copy the success of reach and was not nearly as good as 2.
KZ4 had an absolutely HORRIBLE story, like straight out of a Michael Bay film bad. The campaign setpieces were also terrible and generic, with most of the game being just a shitty linear corridor. The multiplayer was also basically a slower COD, they completely ruined it. It looked pretty, but that's all it had going for it.
Guerilla games is a one shot wonder. To this day they can't figure out what they did right.

As far as 4 is concerned, I haven't played the release version of the MP and I don't plan on it but I didn't like the beta version. Mysticals were alright but they're far too easy to obtain and I hate the A.I. assists. Also the general gameplay just also felt a bit bland. It had better set pieces (my dick was diamonds during the burning castle & sinking ship sections), a story that doesn't suck ass, it didn't have waves of enemies that bored me to death unlike the moment you hit Nepal in 2, decent puzzles as opposed to the horrible ones in 1 & 2, the shooting and fighting mechanics were by far the best of the three and the whole thing revolves around Victor Godddamn Sullivan aka by far the best character in the franchise.
So what the fuck?

Yes like >>337812217 stated here the maps are very chaotic almost because of the way they are designed and the fact that everyone can have a heavy weapon at any time..
Take the pirate map for example.
Even if you memorize the layout of a map it doesn't really matter as there are multiple paths to get to said location which is why U4 multiplayer is a bit more team based compared to 2(whether or not this is good is a matter of opinion).
In 2 knowing the map was very important and knowing where the heavy weapon spawned was very important, but now you just buy a heavy weapon and spawn with it so everyone can have one instead of the guy who manged to grab it.
>>337821203
I never said you couldn't personally enjoy it, it's just bad. Nobody can possibly play Uncharted 3 and think it's a good game without sounding like an idiotic drone.
Also yes, the story did suck ass. Of all the things you say is good about uncharted 3, you say the story is the best? The gunplay is actually the weakest in the series and if you deny this you literally did not pay attention to any of the games. It had no puzzles worth remembering Any potentially good puzzle was put in a cutscene, like the deciphering tool.
Sully was great, I'll give you that one, but the game itself was not good and was far from being the best in the series. It's actually the worst.

>the game has no memorable set pieces and the environments are mostly the same, the entire game takes place in a single island.

uncharted 2 had the best balance of pacing and location variety, 3 is worse and has you jump around a lot but 1 is far far worse than both, you're in jungles for almost the whole game, there's almost no variety in enemies or encounters and the only thing thrown in to change the pace are average (jeep chase) to terrible (jet-ski) vehicle sections.

The least they could have done was make it like the single player in how a head shot kills them off completely once you get rid of the helment
>>337822705
>to terrible (jet-ski) vehicle sections.
What, you didn't like accelerate for four seconds, shoot exploding barrel and repeat? That wasn't tedious at all, totally better than Uncharted 3 cause reasons!

>How am I a mind drone for enjoying a lesser liked sequel?

the PS4 collection changes nothing about game game outside of graphics. That doesn't change any of my complaints about it since the story and gameplay mechanics are the exact game in both versions.
Why even bother mentioning it? The bad things in the PS3 and PS4 versions are the exact same.
It doesn't change the story, characters, pacing, or gameplay mechanics.
It's a movie. It's made for people who are too retarded to learn proper games. And those people number in the millions. SCE western studios are all like that. They make movies. SCEJ is legit that actually makes videogames.
But the market dictates it want movie games so movie games we shall have.
>>337822938
uncharted 3 actually has pacing, uncharted 1 is a slow slog the whole way
>>337823169
the shitposting in this tread ended an hour ago, there's actual discussion going on here now. Or at least what passes for discussion on /v/.
Go shit up a different thread
>>337800051
Let's put aside the quality of both games.
U3 was the third PS3 Uncharted. U3 was released when PS3 already had many games exclusives and multiplats.
U4 is the first PS4 Uncharted. There are only few noteworthy exclusives and multiplats for now.
You can be sure U6 will sell less if it's still a PS4 game.
>>337823060
>What, you didn't like accelerate for four seconds, shoot exploding barrel and repeat? That wasn't tedious at all, totally better than Uncharted 3 cause reasons!
I'd much rather do the bad jet ski sections instead of that awful desert section in 3. Or the stupid literal hallway section when Nathan got drugged. Or the entire pointless ship graveyard section in 3 as well.
>>337822453
>You like it more because it has more stuff
No I like it more because it does a better job at keeping the game fresh. It also has both better and more stuff than U1.
>not more stuff that is actually well designed?
Are you implying anything in U1 is well designed? The game has shitty mediocre shooting and never does anything unique, it feels like a prototype to what would later be the actual uncharted trilogy (U2-4). The first uncharted had neither quality nor quantity, it was worse in every way possible.
> 3 is just like that
No, in 3 you have stealth, there are also sections where you don't shoot a single bullet (drake's colombia level). It is not "just like that", your whole point is moot.
>How the fuck is this a bad thing?
You can't see how having no memorable set pieces and a game taking place on a single location and then not doing anything overly interesting with it is a bad thing? Uncharted 4 did the whole island theme miles better than U1 thus leaving U1 as pointless, U1 is also the only game in the series where you don't actually discover an ancient city, it's literally just a gold statue all you discover. You call me stupid but all your arguments revolve around "it's bad because I said it's bad, see how many buzzwords I can spout? poorly designed, POORLY DESIGNED!!!". You're a fucking retard. Your only valid point is that enemies don't react when you shoot them (which is false, they do, it just feels off like they aren't reacting properly).
Uncharted 1 is the worst uncharted game, it has nothing memorable in it and the gunplay is barebones, it also has the worst pacing in the entire game (after the first cutscene you're already killing waves of bullet sponge enemies). You're a delusional moron if you think otherwise, I also fucked your mom and your "POORLY DESIGNED" buzzwords mean nothing.
>>337822938
>you would easily see how 3 is the worse game in the series in regards to pacing.
I fail to see how it can be worse than a game that has you shooting waves of enemies after the first cutscene.
>>337823169
Crushing is actually really difficult this time around due to limited ammo, destructible cover and smart and aggressive AI
Shitpost elsewhere retard
>>337822450
Well I must be a giant moron because it was news to me. I thought that was his defining feature as a character and his whole reason for living the way he did, but it turned out to be a lie. I loved that, and that he still prevailed anyway.
>>337823303
Just because someone disagrees with you doesn't mean it's shitposting. I've endured three Uncharted games now. And I can say that excluding the spectacle, the substance is razor thin. And that would be fine if people actually recognized it as that instead of 10/10 GAME OF THE GENERATION. It's not. It's the equivalent of a shallow Hollywood movie. And gaming "critics" who eat it up is just proof that they don't want games to be games but movie-likes so they can brag about their hobbies to their friends.
>>337823539
>difficult =/= good. Any retard can make a hard game. It's not as hard as /v/ thinks it is.
best graphics game!
>>337802401
>female mc
No thanks. I'll get ffxv and skip this Guerrilla trash
>>337823651
Who are you quoting?
First you say it's a movie made for retards, then I point out it has good gameplay, and great AI and is actually a quite challenging game. It's only about 2 hours cutscenes and about 12-14 hours of gameplay, and more on crushing.
You've literally never played it and sure as hell not beaten it on crushing so why are you even posting?
>>337800051
How much money did Uncharted 4 make?
>>337802661
Nice meme.
>>337823651
Uncharted 4 is pushes away from the linearity a lot and has more free form exploring, plus the encounters are in much larger areas giving lots of opportunities for different tactics and stealth. The climbing is still mostly linear apart from a few sections but the puzzles are much better this time.
You would know all of these things if you cared enough for even a cursory glance at the game before you started shitposting.
Now piss off.
>>337823651
>i have played older uncharted games, but not hte refined uncharted 4!

Uncharted 4 made over 1.5 billion, and I'm the one who made it.
Feels good to make profit.

It's a team game, maybe get your allies to help you.
If they were just as easy to rape as in SP then they would be useless in MP.
>>337823394
>Are you implying anything in U1 is well designed?
It's better designed than 3 is by a long shot.
>The game has shitty mediocre shooting and never does anything unique
Neither does 3
Yes, actually. Yes it is. The gun-play in 1 is objectively better than it is in 3 and I love how you glossed over that fact when I mentioned it. Also the stealth in 3 is shit. It having stealth doesn't make it better when the stealth is bad. This is like one person with a plate of shit looking over at someone else with a plate of shit while gloating about how they have more shit on their plate.
>>337823394
>You can't see how having no memorable set pieces and a game taking place on a single location and then not doing anything overly interesting with it is a bad thing? Almost every single complaint you have with Uncharted 1 is disgustingly shallow and materialistic
>it has no magical city to discover!
>it has no bad stealth!
>it has no globe trotting!
1's element of discovery was handled much better than it was in 3. It was an actual mystery.
>Uncharted 1 is the worst uncharted game, it has nothing memorable in it and the gunplay is barebones
The gun play in 3 is literally the exact same as 1 but with missing features.
it also has the worst pacing in the entire game (after the first cutscene you're already killing waves of bullet sponge enemies).
You , or maybe someone else, mentioned this earlier. How the hell does that give it bad pacing? in 3 you're fighting dozens of bad guys with fisticuffs, it's the exact same thing yet you're using it as a negative about the first game? You're also still using the bullet sponge argument when 3 has bullet sponge enemies as well.
>>337823052
they are designed to create an area of denial, when you see one go the other way.
>>337824625
what gunplay features are in uncharted 1 that are missing in 3?
not the guy you're replying to but I'm genuinely curious

>>337806719
>real is better because it takes more power!
What a fucking idiot.
>>337824991
in 1, 2, and 4, when you shoot an enemy they get stunned and you can stunlock them by constantly shooting them. In 3 this doesn't happen. Enemies actually do not react to getting shot at all. It can lead to things like shooting an enemy a few times when they move away in the middle of getting shot at with a fully automatic weapon.
>>337816959
>I have no idea what I'm talking about
We get it, ps4 sux xd
>>337824991
Also 1 had better weapon balancing. 3's is all over the place. I'm pretty sure the UZI in 3 is the best weapon in the game. The reticle is also extremely obstructive on certain weapons and has almost no reason to exist other than to make aiming harder.
>>337802401
that looks so scripted, I bet you can't even interact with them
>>337826412
You can and they can be killed and harvested for scrap.
>>337815582
Just go away.
Would gaming be better of if Naughty Dogs current audience were just removed from the face of the earth along with them. I have never seen such a group of pretentious, entitled, and whiny babies in video games.
They are literally drones, by the exact definition.
Just finished it. Not bad, not bad at all but definitly doesn't deserve all the praise it's getting. I'd give it a 13.5/20 or something.
