Honestly not forwarding to this one at all. Upset about Nintendo not showing up to reveal the NX. It also seems like Square Enix won't be holding another conference, which is a shame since last year's SE conference was one of the best conferences yet. Also the shows will most likely focus on VR bullshit. Sony hasn't announced their conference schedule yet, but I assume it will start somewhere between 5 and 7 on Tuesday and will last three hours. Also, last year's E3 had the final battle between Jotaro and DIO while this year has the Future Trunks saga of Dragon Ball Super.

Last years E3 was a 9/10. It really was all about the games, besides a few gimmicks here and there.
And thats why this years E3, at least i think so, will be very barebones. They unloaded everything last year. And what games did even come out that they showed? They revealed them all way too soon.

I legitimately enjoyed the first. I think the environment control was a really interesting take on the GTA-like concept, the online was great (especially tailing) and the presentation was really nice in places. Of course, I do think it was let down by things like vehicle physics being easily broken and just not very satisfying to drive anyway and it not being polished in some areas, but they didn't stop me enjoying it overall.
If they address some of the issues the first game had and build on the strengths too, I'd be happy to get it early rather than waiting like I did with the first.

That has always been Sony's shtick. Their major releases are huge pandering to popular concepts at the time, this was as much the case on PS2 as it is now.
Ratchet and Clank and Jak and Daxter were just as much feeding off the industries love of cartoon platformers at the time as Uncharted 4 or The Last of Us are feeding off the industries current love of cinematic action games (note that this is not me saying any of these games are of comparable quality, but simply that they're all born from some degree of pandering to major demographics).
Sony never "just had a good selection of games", they just pandered to demographics that you were more in line with as a child/teen with their major games. Like always, their interesting or unique concepts are smaller to middle range projects. This was always, always the case with Sony.
