Can't wait. Not gonna pre-order though, cause i'm not about that life.

What's the point of this retarted game? Fly around in a space ship in randomly generated worlds? Can't do anything else? Thought it was a legit fps or something

I'm seriously not going to fucking buy a game I barely know a fucking thing about in any detail beyond broad horseshit I don't care about at all. I'm especially not going to fucking buy when this piece of shit has been fucking hyped to hell and back which is a huge fucking red flag for me. Your fucking marketing aproach is bulls hit and you should feel bad, now your product will only have its own merit to stand on which is a fucking nightmare in the modern industry. Given what I've heard your target audience is people looking for experiencial depth in a nice grandiose fashion, almost not a single fucking person here gives a shit about that. Do you want to know what they do give a shit about? Overwatch, a game that can take literally 3 minutes per match and only has a sense of depth because there are a variety of situations you can experience, this game is fucking lacking seriously in any sort of content but it stands on its ability to satisfy people while the experience ce of no man's sky seems to be "Oh neat that's cool" and then people will proceed to not give a fuck.
>>
>>337783810
As much as I want this game to be good I know it's not going to be. They've been hyping this shit up for what feels like forever now, and the gameplay looks exactly the same as it did when they first announced it.
I'm a sucker for space exploration games but I'm gonna wait.
>>
The one positive side to the fact that gaming is dead is that I get to watch people get disappointed in new releases on a regular basis. Then if a game is good I get it for $5 a few months later.

There has not been a video longer than 20 minutes, and in each on they say "We really can't show this game in such a short amount of time." and then proceed to show the game in such a short amount of time. As if something is stopping them from releasing longer videos.

It brings my piss to a boil.

By their own marketing logic they could show 30 hours of this game and it would be 0.0...% of the content.

>game about exploration
>nothing to explore

Doesn't check out :(

>>
>>337784862
If there is as much content as they are claiming, no one would ever even see the planets they show off.

Fucking shill.
>>
>>337784862
Yeah if they showed off too many of those billion billion planets we could see how boring the procedural generation is going to get after a few hours
>>
>>337784927
This

It's almost as if after the third planet you've pretty much seen everything the game has to offer
>>
>>337784898
don't forget you can collect minerals!
>>
>>337784963
1 hour of solid, unedited and uncut gameplay.
Not snippets of generic footage wedged together.

We have barely any idea of what it's actually like to fly out, pick a random planet, go there and see what it's like. It's all cherry picked clips.

As if I could forget with you shilling this piece of shit on here every 6 hours.

I'm going to torrent your shitty hipster Space Engine and get bored of it in a few hours and there's nothing you can do about it.
>>
>>337784927
Yeah planets and animals are differents everytime, but I thought you were talking about the system like upgrades or artifacts.

I'd ike avideo where they just speed through 20-30 differents planets, but I guess we've seen 40 or so planets already so I'm not really expecting anything groundbreaking to be hidden out of sight.
>>
>>337784103
>>minecraft in space minus multiplayer
>basically a good game without the cancer
muh dick
>>
>>337783810
I won't. I'll wave at it in a month when it passes by.

Everything we've been shown and read about the game suggests something that is going to be procedurally generated, which means that no matter how good the randomizer and seed is, the variety of content is going to be down entirely to how complex the generator is in the first place.

That might not have mattered too much if the exploration was actually more complex than walking or if the spaceflight was engaging and fun, but both look bland and pedestrian.

I'd have bought the game in a heartbeat for $15-$20, just to waste a couple hours poking around if nothing else.

For full MSRP, it sure as fuck better offer a lot more than "pretty, random planets" when it's on the shelf next to the rest.
>>
>>337785059
But for it to be cherry picked clips implies that they actually had to play for even MORE than an hour to get this much video. It could be 14 hours of content compressed into one video. This is an argument for the game having more content, not less.
>>
>>337785083

They have custom worlds they use for demos, they've said that before.
You aren't seeing the actual game in those clips.
You have no idea what exploring in this game is like.

They use a different base seed, not custom words.

You don't know. It could surprise everyone and wind up being pretty decent. Everyone said Freelancer was going to be shit too but I wound up enjoying it a lot.

I can't take any criticism against No Man's Sky seriously from a bunch of autists who apparently still cries and hit their heads on the nearest wall whenever someone mention Spore
>>
>>337785515
I'm not excited about the game, but I'm excited to hear more about the game.
It's way to early to have an opinion about it.

Anyone who feels strongly either way is an idiot.
>>
they releasing it on gog too. they know this game is going to be a boring shitfest
>>
This is on GOG right, it's not going to have Denuvo?

I might at least give it a look then but I'm not holding out any hope for it being interesting past the first hour. Randomly generated planet exploration tricked me once with Starbound and I'm not getting fucking duped again.
>>
>>337785772
Denuvo has been confirmed

The entire game is randomly generated with the only gameplay being the same exact thing repeated for infinity (go to planet, mine shit, kill randomly generated enemies). Random generation has its limits and with most games that use it as a key feature one of the main complaints is "the RNG". There will never be interesting things to see because it was all designed by a machine. Its literally the most autistic game ever.
>>
>>337785963
You could say the same thing about the real world though. All the life on earth is randomly generated through chance mutations that happen to propagate through DNA, but we still see a good variety of different and cool looking things.

He literally says "we were trying to get together a build for E3 ... I it like the way those deer come over that hill or whatever"

How can you misunderstand that?
>>
>>337786172
It's true though and he's right?
Have you ever spend a lot of time in a field going "Boy what a great field!"
Compare that to a city where there's human art and things to do.
>>
>>337786357
>he's right
>Seriously implying you're not samefagging

No I'm sorry that analogy was fucking retarded, shut up and save face.
>>
>>337786357
His point is there isn't going to really be a variety in your experience beyond the face value of what it is you get. So for his criticism that analogy doesn't work at all. Honestly the game might be neat as an art expo for people with a lot of weed.
