it should be obvious to anyone with half a brain cell to put together out of their own ego that they so richly consume of that the old guard at nintendo have quite simply gone decrepit and possibly senile with dementia, they're dropping like flies and the ones still barely clinging to life are sucking the soul right out of the company. miyamoto "the hack" shigeru sharted all over star fox and they stuck their tower defence minigame as a bonus just so he doesn't feel bad about failing 3 (three) times to make a good game using the gamepad. meanwhile the young bucks come up with splatoon while sakurai fumes because people want a GOOD competitive game and not smash tour mode baby antics.

Sakurai hasn't been involved in the series at all since Air Ride and even then only directed DL1, Adventure, Super Star, and Air Ride; all of which were great games and the first three the largest milestones in the growth of Kirby, and while Shimomura from the days before Sakurai left had plenty of his own fresh ideas, pretty much everything since they left has piggybacked off of the frameworks left by them with minor deviation, not that that makes them any worse games.

I wasn't too impressed by the boss fights or the ability roster, the ability roster itself was pretty good but pretty much none of the old ones had many changes from their last appearance except Mirror got a few new moves, and the new ones are all lackluster except Doctor which is my new favorite.

Most of the old guards have transitioned their roles to younger alternatives. The past two E3s and Nintendo's developer directs have shown faces people didn't even know exist and games like Splatoon was the result of a program installed by the old guards.
Anyone who lists RtDL-styled Kirby in their top 3 Kirby games has legitimately shit taste.
