What characters do you use?
General advice I give is to not rely on counters besides punishing full string combos since most have a gap just long enough to do a counter and mount your offensive. Besides that counters are pretty much noob bait and should be avoided especially on wake up.

A PS4 is probably the safest bet, Since It seems that Nintendo has abandoned the WiiU, sure it has some decent games, but get it at a later date when the price drops.

Machamp is intimidating so use that to his advantage. Use tick throws liberally hurt like hell and most people are too scared to risk dropping their blocks or counters. Cadc is generally useless unless it's field phase, but definitely use it to get close when you can. Remember you can air grab people off the ground, which is very useful against mewtwos. His low weak attack is very fast and also hits in the air. Try to learn what you can get away with attack wise before the phase is forced out to field.
Blaziken sucks imo, but I'll give my best advice. His forward x is his best approach attack, but don't complete the string if blocked cause it's easily punished. Avoid using special moves cause it racks up damage on you really quick, although if you can catch them with a firewall on their wake-up with a forward x combo it's insane damage so practice timing and spacing it so you can get the most out of it. In field use his instant air dash and air projectile, it stuns and hurts like hell if you do it right to hit a running enemy point blank. Besides that, just use forward a or homing attacks to switch asap. Remember that the x ender for the normal weak attack string shreds counters, and you can do it off low y too.
