The gameplay is very bland and repetitive, even by today's standards, and stupid easy at that, but the cast of characters is one of a kind. Worth trying, if you can deal with being bored between cutscenes.
The original PS3 trilogy was racid shit, but CH grew some balls and went in and fixed everything with the Re;birth series. So yeah, I'd say they're pretty damn good. Also one of the few series to actually make me laugh out loud with the character interactions.
