Not flawless, but I still enjoyed it whatsoever. The puns made me giggle.
I love EtG but it's far from Flawless.
Maybe I don't know how to manage my ammo but I'm always scared to use my guns because I feel I run out of ammo really fast and I don't get ammo drops and shops don't always have ammo for sale.
Going to the Abbey of the True Gun seems like a waste compared to the Oubliette, the boss is actually hard which I like but he has a lot of HP and doesn't drop anything special. I've only beat it once and it was during a blessed run.
I'm still kinda new to the game with only 20 or so hours and I haven't even beat a past yet though, I'm not very good.

I really wish the dodge roll wasnt in the game since all it does is low down the gameplay for me and that final chamber boss is completly super underwhelming and the easiest of all the fucking bosses.
"Beat" the game on my fourth run as the hunter but then really beat with all the characters and i got to say the the killing your past parts is actually the most fun parts if the game since how the game mechanics work i feel tjat the gam would be better if it were more designed to be like those final scenarios.
Also kinda of a nitpick but i kinda hate the manual reloading. I get thst its part of the balancing for weapons but its annoying to have to get to used ti them all especially when one finds a new weapon and one has to waste ammo to try it ou to figure out what it does and how it works.
That end credits music be pretty bumbin though.

Spelunky is great for what it is but I got sick of it after like 30 hours. I just couldn't git gud enough to become consistent at it. Isaac for example I can win pretty much every run but spelunky I can barely make it past the caves some days. And I wasn't even particularly shit at the game. I can consistently whip arrows and rob shopkeepers and I got speedlunky.

Well it's not finished yet, full release is June 2nd so no need to hurry.
But so far it's easily the best and deepest top-down shooter I've ever played. Pretty big loadout selection and nice mechanics, though the learning curve can be kinda steep. Though I suspect if you don't enjoy the base shooting/driving mechanics you're not gonna get much out of it, even with the story missions.
Graphics and soundtrack are pretty good too.And so is the audiobook, at least what I've heard of it so far.

dog seems useless as fuck unless you have high luck, which you need good actual luck to even get items and opportunities to increase your luck in the first place. I've played hunter several times, getting as far as Hollow multiple times and so far, I have ever seen the dog find something once and it was just half a heart. It's a passive item so it's not like having it hurts you at all but as a starting item, it's not nearly as useful as it sounds.
