Which one is better, /v/?

I prefer 4, my opinion is that they took 5 in the wrong direction but I can see why people would like it better than its predecessors.

5, 4's mechanics are clunky as fuck, since they were taken straight from tank-controlled original trilogy. Also 5 has better level design.

5 plays better, undoubtedly. I adore pretty much everything about 5 from gameplay to music.

4 has a much better structure, and the optional puzzles available for weapons or other goodies is great stuff. This is where 5 really lacked, in my opinion.

5 is just a co-op expansion pack to 4

5 has a good beginning and end but the middle is a slog. I wish it went full retard a little earlier than the last 3 chapters.

2 is the worst resident evil if you care about anything else than presentation

It's the most linear, the least populated, with the easiest ennemies and bosses.
1 was good, tho it suffers from lame bosses.
3 was excellent in some areas and lame in others
Veronica tried to be too many things at once and was mediocre at all of them
4 is great all around
5 was all around amazing, but I never played it solo so it might have colored my experience, I heard its bad solo
Rev 1 was boring
6 had a great control scheme and lame level design and bosses
Rev 2 had a good control scheme but not enough content and what content was there was a succession of boring corridors.

You can strafe in 5, unless you were like me and used 4's control scheme because I'm more used to that.
4's control is straight up 3rd person Tank, unlike 5's default.

Both were cozy good games I their own right, but I think 4 was innovative for its time and pretty fun. 5 is just a better looking but with with co op and a different setting. I had my cozy days with 5 playing mercs so it holds a special place for me

I wouldn't say 4 is clunky, it's just that you have better movement in 5 and inventory is more streamlined since you only have 9 slots that you can access on the fly. Meanwhile you have to pause the game if you want to smoke weed or switch guns.

4 was arguably the best RE game and one of the best games of all time.

5 took all the wrong lessons from 4 and was a big downgrade as a result.
