Is the Doomguy the strongest videogame character ever? Keep in mind, he's fought Hell four times (Doom/Doom 2/Doom 64/Doom 2016) and he did it all single-handedly

The 'Titan' looked remarkably like the Doom 3 boss.
At this point he is the Western power-level equivalent of Dante (or rather, Dante is the Japanese power-level equivalent of Doomguy)
I thought Doom 2016 would either not feature him at all or show him to be a lot weaker but I was so fucking wrong. He just keeps getting angrier and killing more things.

It's the same guy across every game except for 3 (which is its own universe). What's commonly accepted is that after the events of 64 (where Doomguy chooses to remain in Hell forever), Hell eventually traps him and seals him away. At either an undisclosed date in the future or in another universe, he's unsealed and resumes kicking demon ass.

If you prefer, but Doom 64 has a very creepy atmosphere that a hectice mod like BD might compromise. Download the Doom 64 WAD and try it out, it's fucking great

So Doom 1,2, and 64 are this guy. Doom 3 is alternate universe. Player wads are other escapades. I guess TNT and plutonia also fit that description.

Actually I think Parappa is the strongest video game character. If you think about it, Parappa saves the world from a sentient noodle invastion using only his lyrical prowess, and everyone knows noodles are more fearsome enemies than demons or even God himself (considering the real God is the flying spaghetti monster and his holy noodly appendage.) The only character who even comes close to Parappa's stength is probably Madara Uchiha.

The player character of Quake 3 Arena canonically beats him, his instructor, a different marine from the Phobos base, Ranger from Quake, and Bitterman from Quake 2.
Problem is, I couldn't tell you who the canon PC of that game is supposed to be. The intro to it makes it look like it's should be Sarge, but you have to beat him to progress. It's probably him if Quake 3 Revolution supersedes Arena though.

Doom Guy cleaned Mars after the invasion, then died and went to Hell, THEN cleaned Hell after dying, and when the demons went to earth to fuck shit up, he went after them to kill them, after cleaning earth and avenging his pet bunny he decided to stay on Hell to keep killing demons, he was so angry that the demons had him locked to see if he chilled or something, little they know, his anger is infinite
