Zero. While there is little in the way of aiming for some (Hanzo needs to fire in the right general area, McCree needs to keep you in his LoS, 76 must still point in your direction etc), they are not totally aim free.

If you are a competitive fps player you will be disappointed by the lack of advanced movements, slow pace, cooldowns, bullshit crap like aimbots and wallhacks, and overall low skill ceiling.
If you are a competitive moba player you will be disappointed by the lack of depth, extremely low ttk,, lack of character progression, boring objectives and lack of advanced strategies (something more than switching char all the time to counter the enemy)

The server was receiving "I'm moving in this direction at this speed," then received nothing for a period of time in which it was forced to interpolate the movement of the Tracer on the server and for other players. Considering the low TTK and ways to move quickly to the point, the game is actually much faster paced than TF2 excepting the obvious with soldiers/demos.
Abilities are strange at first but they're pretty essential to the game and don't really bother me. If you're getting hit by any of the auto-aim abilities then you're not a comp shooter player because that shit has the loudest audio cue imaginable. Get behind something.
Overwatch is just addictive, it's very well designed to tickle your pleasure center. Most people who play it will enjoy it.

As the other guy said, reactions to the beta were lukewarm at best. People realized the game wasn't very good. Or rather, that it had no depth to it whatsoever and only looked very nice graphically, and the audio was fantastic.
Overwatch has a lot of depth regardless of what people in this thread seem to think. Picking the right hero, and countering the enemy team, coming up with tactics, pushing at the right time and managing ults gives the game a fantastic amount of depth.
The game isn't without fault of course, but for what it is, it is a really nice game.I bought the Collectors' Edition because I wanted the artbook so I might be a tad biased

Blizzard has said from the start that Overwatch is supposed to be a team-focused game where communication and strategy matters. Comparing the game to Quake or other similar arena shooters is unfair and does not make any sense whatsoever because you are playing the game in a different way with a completely different objective.
If some dude that has played Quake and other old games for 10+ years says the game is shit because it isn't the same game he has been playing for the last decade then that doesn't matter in the slightest and I really don't see why anyone should care. Was invited to the December beta and the April one, and played like 10 hours of this open beta. Played it all, seen it all, don't care for a long time now. Same issue Rainbow Six has. Fun gameplay, no content.
I really doubt Blizzard pipeline for not only adding new heroes, but maps and game modes. New hero comes out, everyone flocks and plays it. Big fucking deal really, its just a hero that fits into a certain playstyle defined by the existing game modes and balance.
A new unique game mode to Overwatch would do far more than 5 heroes would.

I've played plenty of comp shooters and Overwatch is fun as fuck. Snipers are over the moon because Widowmaker is so good on PC and they're gonna get easy blizzbux.

The comparison doesn't hold because it's like comparing Quake (SFV) to Quake that is twice as fast with pixel sized hitboxes (SFIV), except you get around those hitboxes thanks to pressing m1 and m2 slightly different timings and you get to slow the game down through some other bullshit bug. IV was a fucking mess because there was bugs that were implemented as features you needed to learn. The game had insane burden of knowledge and by basically cheating (s-link, p-link) you got an advantage over other people who didn't which also fucked over people not playing on sticks.
SFV is still a difficult game to play because execution in fighting games doesn't come down only to combos. On the other hand in Overwatch is something similar to stylish mode in guilty gear/blazblue, you just mash buttons and the character autocombos for you.
