Uncharted has the problem of being a very light hearted action game in which you kill hundreds of people.
It is not good game design to have cut scenes and quick time events like an Indiana Jones videogame, with third person shooter gameplay that reminds you of a Rambo movie.
Ideally the story, cut scenes and gameplay would be coherent.

That's not even the worst part, Sam literally crossed Rafe and was the bad guy. Honestly Rafe should've just shot Sam then and there, they were partners and Rafe really did nothing wrong. This attitude is why Uncharted's writing (and most vidya writing) is garbage. They could've ran with the idea and made Drake an interesting and memorable character by approaching it from a black comedic perspective.
