PC DRIVING GAMES
What are the options? Are literally any of them worth playing?
All I want is a semi realistic driving game, with a career mode in which you can buy and upgrade cars, that was made some time in the last 5/6 years and isn't horribly outdated, but such a game just doesnt seem to exist on PC.
There's basically NFS which hasn't produced a decent game in 10 years, the hardcore racing sims like iRacing, and unfinished indie games that have some promise but are spoiled by very limited track/car selection. Also the F1 games which are meh.
For reference I loved Gran Turismo 4 on PS2.

I think Forza is releasing a game for PC.
PC is pretty garbage for driving games though. Luckily I managed to get an XB1 for free and bought Forza 6.

The first GRID is good, Dirt Rally is good, Assetto Corsa is ok if you like drifting and hotlapping. My Summer Car is a masterpeice
If you prefer something a little more arcade Absolute Drift is a great game, The Crew is alright if you have friends to dick about on it with. You could also emulate Tokyo Xtreme Racer 3, I've been playing that recently and it's great

Forza on PC is trash, its a fraction of the game and has no multiplayer. Best off waiting for 7 as MS said every future Forza will end up on PC

It's already available. It's free on the windows store. It's not a full game its just a cut down version of Forza 6. Has anyone actually tried it?

Also has anyone played some of the F1 games? I was thinking about playing one and I assumed should just play the latest one since they're basically all the same but for some reason 2014 and 2015 have much worse ratings than 2013. Anyone know why?

I almost gave it a try. I looked it up on youtube though and 20 mins into it there had been probably about 10 minutes of that shitty over exposed video shit that they do. Why do they think I want to watch or give a shit about their annoying douchebag characters. I just want to buy and upgrade cars.

If he got rid of the "made in the last 5/6 years" part he could play High Stakes or Porsche Unleashed, they have fantastic career modes.

I think I played it a bit before and it seemed alight. Is it somehow much better than 2014 and 2015? What's actually different?
To be honest I'm quite tempted to just install an emulator and play GT4, or just play NFS:MW again.
I really wish EA could do the impossible and just produce a competent remake/new version of Most Wanted. It was such an amazing game. Updated cars and graphics would be great.

In general it is much better than the sequels. Similar graphics after all, many game modes like career, championship, time trials, a mode with different situations (Like there are only 3 laps left and you have to hold your position with a flat tyre), etc.
Apart from that, a few real world F1 changes make 2013 more fun from a gameplay perspective. So if you want to try a F1 game, go for 2013 without a doubt. But then again, it is not really what you are asking for. I agree that GRID 1 is great.

You'll get that when I get a competent new version of NFS IV.
Which is to say, never. Install Origin, goy. Why don't you want server-side cars, no wheel support and a 30fps lock?
